The 2nd owner purchased this Blazer in late 1972 from Bob Spreen Cadillac Dealer on there Used car lot section in Downey, California. It had about 27k miles when he purchased it used. It was rarely driven thru out the last 20 years sitting in his driveway as the owner became ill in the mid 90's. The owner passed away & it was inhertied by his elderly mother. For years, the mother had a hard time selling it as she knew her son love it too much. The sister of the owner told me she remembers going on trips to San Diego, San Fransico & Hemet. with her brother in this Blazer. That is where most of the miles added up. The last few years, they had a sign in the window that said " NOT For Sale " as people would knock on there door & ask if it was for sale. Been in the family for 40 years & had way too much sentimental value to part with it. The Picture above & below is were it sat most of it's life at the owners home in Orange County, California. Up For Sale For The Very First Time Since 72' At 3 Days with No Reserve Sold To The Highest Bidder __________________________________________________ This is an original 1970 Chevrolet K/5 Blazer CST 4 Wheel Drive 350 #'s Matching TH350 with factory air conditioning. Remains most of it's original Medium Olive paint. This is a California K/5 that still recites it's original Blue plates. It has never been abused or butched up. Its a unrestored & origianl 70' CST Blazer. A Rare find that does not come often at No Reserve - The undercarriage is in clean shape and what you would expect out of a True California car. Original floors, panels & rockers. Does have surface rust but it comes along with the being original. The Blazer does have some normal K5 rust here & there. Some surface rust on the top inner windshield weatherstripping near roof. All the CST moldings, trim & emblems are still attach. The inside of the bed is clean. It did have original Black carpet in the rear but it was thrown out to show the bed. The interior is all original as well. Factory Black vinyl trim still in place. The dash compartment has never been cut up. Remains the original & working push button radio with no aftermarket speakers, stock stero system. The 4wd glove box decal has never taken off. The interior cab has not been painted inside either. Remains mostly stock under the hood other then a pair of headers. Original 350 V8 " TAY" suffix, intake & Q-jet 4bbl. I rebuilt the carb, drained the old gas & added new spark plugs - fired right up. It does run, drive & shift. Automatic Transmission leaks some fluid. It does brake but they will need some work. It's just been sitting for a long time and will need some work to get in top running shape. Does have power steering. The sister told me her brother took out the 4x4 driveshaft years ago as he never really used it. That part is now missing. Overall, it's a running & driving Blazer but the drivetrain shows age. You would have to expect it from a car sitting most of it's life. A Blazer but will need to be restored. Overall, it's a complete & unrestored California 70' CST Blazer. Not many left around in this sort of Rare shape. I would leave it in it's current unrestored condtion, just get into good running shape. The owner said there was never a back seat & there is not any holes nor brackets for it in the bed. There was a full factory black carpet in place.
