Vehicle Detail
1967 Mustang Coupe Project car Plus. 289 2 barrel with 3 speed transmission. Engine starts immediately, for 2-3 seconds, when gas is put into carb, and sounds great! This car has had 2 owners. It's been sitting for 10-11 years, but has been driven periodically. The first owner wrecked the front end, and sold it. The second owner fixed it, and then threw a rod, and replaced the 289 w/ a 289, brand new in the crate, that just screamed. She didn't know if it was high performance, but it ran like a scalded dog. Then a tree fell on it, thus the green hood,(which has the turn signal indicator lights on top), door and front fender. Those apparently came from a 1968. They were slowly rebuilding it. I believe all the original parts and pieces of trim are there. Passenger seat & rear seat are intact and not dried up. Driver's seat is trashed. All windows are intact. Dashboard is intact and not warped or split. Headliner is still up there, but has a stain on it, and the dome light is broken. There is no real rust on body, except both front floor pans--totally gone-all wheel wells are intact and not rusted out. The front bumper looks great. The car got bumped in the rear end. The rear bumper has slight bend in it, and the trunk is kinked a bit, but it closes fine and springs open great. The trunk is filled w'parts, pcs of trim, old Ford radio, 2 extra Mustang hupcaps, and 2 new shock absorbers. Odometer reads 78,921, but motor has less on it. Carb has been rebuilt. The motor has had the brake lines, distributor, plug wires and probably the plugs replaced. It has an air condioner and compressor, but can't guarantee they work, the condenser coil in front of the radiator is broken, or come loose at the top corner. The clutch and transmission seem to work-it would drive ahead, but couldn't pour enough gas in the carb to drive it up on the trailer. I put 3 1/2 gallons in the tank, but couldn't get it ip to the carb-possibly not enough, or fuel pump is out. It needs minor body work to touch up some rough patches, and a paint job. I really think this is almost driveable the way it is. It's never been sitting in a junk yard or been burned up. One headlight works, and radio comes on. I have one new floor pan, original jack, original keys, original warranty book, and Ar. title for it. This car was bought in Dallas, and lived in Arkansas. You're more than welcome to come take a look at it. It's in Heber Springs, AR.72543, about 1 1/2 hours north of Little Rock. My number is 501-250-3883
