You are bidding (I hope!) on a 1965 Ford Galaxie 500. The car is in excellent condition, and runs and drives beautifully. The color combination, white over teal, is very appealing, and the paint is in very good condition, with only a few very minor scratches and chips. The car was painted in 2002. The interior is a beautiful teal, with cloth inserts on the vinyl front and back seats (no sticking to the seats on a hot day!). The seats and headliner were recovered and replaced in 1999. The engine, a 289 V-8, was replaced in 1998 with a remanufactured unit, and runs great. It starts right up even on a cold day with one push of the gas pedal to set the choke. The carbuerator is a 2 barrel Motorcraft. The original points distributor has been replaced with a Motorcraft electronic ignition. The single exhaust has been replaced with dual Flowmasters, which really makes the engine sound great--nothing obnoxious, though. The cruise-o-matic automatic transmission was rebuilt in 2002, and shifts smoothly. Driving the car is a pleasure: it runs down the freeway straight and true, and rides as comfortably and as quietly as it did when it was new. The brakes have been upgraded to power front disks. I have all the receipts to verify the work mentioned, as well as a lot more. This car is a real head-turner, and is a lot of fun to drive. Almost everything works, including the heater and AM radio. The only thing not working is the the switch that operates the wiper pump. Sometimes the wiper switch sticks, too. All interior lights work, the chrome is in great condition, and all the emblems are present and in excellent condition. No A/C. Tires are in excellent condition. Rear seat belts were installed in 2004. That's about all I can think of; I've tried to be as clear and honest about the description of the car as I can be.
