1988 Ford Bronco XLT 95k Original Miles White with Red Stripes and Red Cloth Interior 5.8 Liter - 351 Windsor 210 hp @ 3800 rpm - 315 ft/lb @ 2800 rpm Automatic Transmission - 4 Wheel Drive Original California Vehicle - Third Owner Books, Records, and 2 sets of keys Front Dual-Shock Option 3:91 Limited Slip Rear-End Tow Package Description I am the third owner (Autocheck calculated four owners, but there has only been three) and had started to restore but now have to sell because of an upcoming move. This is a great truck for snow use as well as everyday driving. The engine is strong with a good shifting transmission. Original ownership documentation from new will be included. Since my purchase, the following items have been completed over the past 18 months: Intake manifold gaskets and valve cover gaskets have been replaced, completely rebuilt radiator, new water pump, front rotors and pads replaced, rear brakes redone, new brake master cylinder, new EGR valve, dyno-tune in order to pass strict California smog certification, new interior heater core and hoses, new turn-signal switch, new tires, and new windshield Exterior Condition No major accidents and the exterior is in fair overall condition for the year of the vehicle. Paint is in fair condition with the typical minor dents and scratches, and will still show a good shine when waxed. It was recently bumped the front-left fender and now has a good size dent (see pictures). Bumpers are in good condition. A little rust is accumulating on the top of the drip-rails, but rust does not show on the body panels. CB Radio antenna base is attached to left-rear quarter panel. Interior Condition The interior is in very good condition and very tight when driving, with only very minor if any rattles on paved roads. Front seats are not ripped and still are comfortable with good padding. Rear seat bench is like new. Carpet is not torn, just a few minor stains. Dashboard panel is not cracking or faded. Steering wheel is is in good condition with just a little puckering where the airbag meets the frame. Door panels are not ripped, but show fading on top part near window. Rear interior panels are not cracked or broken, but the trim around the shell is missing - someone probably forgot to reinstall them when putting the shell back on. Running Condition Engine runs strong, with a smooth idle, and does not emit smoke from the tail pipe. Recently passed California's strict emission test. The exhaust system is in good condition. Transmission shifts well and all gears work (3 speed auto). No noise from differentials or transfer case when shifted into 4 wheel drive. Manual locking front hubs work well. No vibration felt in steering wheel when driving, even at highway speeds. Brakes work well and have smooth operation under braking with no vibration. Accelerates very quickly up to 50 mph, top speed is approx. 80-85 mph. Electrical Condition All switches work. All headlights and turn signals work. Horn works. Rear window works. Wind shield wipers work. Tach and Speedometer work. Dash illumination and interior dome light work and can be adjusted for brightness using light switch. Cruise control works intermittent and I did not use it much. Radio and all speakers work good. All warning lights on dash work and none are illuminated now. Heater core is new, all fan speeds work, and will get the interior nice and toasty when needed. Things to Consider if Bidding! Vehicle is 23 years old now and although in good condition as described, it will probably need some loving care throughout your ownership. The following items will need repair to continue restoration process and to keep in good running condition: Power steering works fine but pump has a slight leak and needs to be refilled once a month. Front end alignment plus tie-rod ends will need replacing - vehicle tracks straight but pulls a little to the right and the right front tire's outer edge is worn. Air conditioning compressor works, the system has freon and blows cool, but does not blow ice cold. Driver's window works fine, however passenger window motor works but gears are worn out in the lifting mechanism, so the window will not raise all the time . With what I purchased the Bronco for, plus the repairs completed, my investment is approx. $8,500. Since I am moving to the city and no longer have storage space, I need to sell it quickly, therefore the auction has no reserve. I have never used it for any heavy off-roading, just a couple of times in the snow and some dirt fire-roads. I have tried my best to describe the vehicle as if I was selling it to a friend or relative.
