3 DAY AUCTION AT NO RESERVE - SOLD TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER This is a 1957 Ford Custom 300 Tudor Sedan. Factory 312 V8 245 HP & Ford-O-Matic. Built In Long Beach, California & has remained it's entire life in the area with early California Blue plates. Previous owner was a old school hot rodder and built this Ford to have the "strippers look" ( less trim with black walls on steel wheels ). Very basic looking with a 312 4bbl under the hood. The original two-tone Color combination is Starmist Blue & Colonial White. Was repainted Starmist Blue a few years go & shows pretty well. This is a great example of a California car. Original rockers & clean undercarriage. The trunk compartment was left unrestored and remains the original paint. Reason for that is to show how solid it is. Quarthers are in fine shape as well. Keep in mind, since being a California Ford, it has not seen snow nor roads that contain salt. Does have minor flaws & the bumpers will need restoration. Trim is there but has a few dings. Overall, the condtion of the exterior is in driver condition, seeks plenty attention. The interior was recently redone in Black vinyl, new carpet, door panels & a headliner. Does not have the original bench seat, it was upgraded to a spilt bench. The dash compartment is stock & remains the original radio & gauge cluster. Has a hidden under dash vintage radio with vintage speakers, works fine. The interior is complete and in good shape. Now, the drivetrain. It is a factory 312cid /245hp 4bbl "D" Code 9 inch rear end. Appears to be stock under the hood with the exception of the Holley. Running & driving just fine. Automatic shifts into all gears. Would make a great driver for someone. The day I took the photos, it was 83 degrees outside in Los Angeles. It ran cool all day long. Has new rear shocks and new mufflers. Lowered in the rear with 2inch block's. The gauge cluster does work but not as accurate as it should. The trunk key was shaved off but I do have the original Ford unit. Not a Fairlane but a Custom 300 Tudor.The hood was changed over to a 58 cause' of the hood scoop. It would make a great cruiser for someone this spring/summer. Turn Key & Cruise. Keep in mind, this is not show winner but can be driven to any show. Older Paint but still shows well.
