For Auction, 1969 GTO This is an unfinished project, with alot of dollars invested, but, not done, as you can see. The car started life in Texas, it was purchased, and brought back, to Illinois, for restoration. There was very little rust, on the car, some surface, scally rust, in the trunk, and the floors, are very nice, (Please see pictures) The engine is a 400 with an aluminum intake, different cam,and new, hooker headers, the exhaust, is all, intact, and we had planned on using it, being in good shape, duals, out the back. The body of the car, was stripped to bare metal, and there were a few dings, and one, small crease in the drivers side quarter. The body, was then Painted the original color, of white, kind of an odd color combination, white, on white, with vinal top, and air conditioning, automatic, on the floor, and bucket seats. Not sure, of the color, for the vinal top, but, was going to use black. The rear bumper, is good, driver quallity. I also have, original wheel lip moldings, in very good shape for the car.The interior, will need some upgrading, the seats and the door panels, are cracked from the sun, we installed a different dash pad, in very good condition. The steering wheel is a very nice black unit.You will also need carpet insulation, before, you put the new, black carpet in, that comes with the car. The headliner, is in o.k. shape.The wheels, are older Tork thrust, or american racing, that fit just fine, with the manual disk brakes, on the front, you will need, a couple of the caps. Also with the car, is a new front valance, and hardware, to mount it with, but the lights, are not all there. The rubber nose, is in o.k. shape, but will need some minor work, for it to be perfect. All the glass, is in the car, except, the front windsheild, was removed, from, because it was cracked, a different, windsheild, comes with the car. The transmission, moved the car around, for loading, but we had planned on new seals, a filter, and fresh fluid. i am not sure, if its a posi, rearend or not, never checked. Very nice, solid, all original body panel, Tx. car, from what we can tell. The compressor, and, the condensor, are missing, for the air conditioning, and, maybe more, but the car was orignally an air conditoned car. The firewall, has the box attached, to it. The car will be sold as a project, with clear title, and sold as is, where is.
