NO RESERVE 1983 911 SC Sunroof Coupe This is an honest 1983 Super Carrera that is ready to rock around town, and could be used for anything. Heck, run it through the backwoods roads or hillclimb it, this car loves to rev and tracks down the road and through corners like a nothing else in the day and age can replicate. The SC for me has been an impressionable driving experience between the driver and the road, I am jealous of anyone that gets to drive one, and will miss it. Mentionables & Condition: · Current owner 5 years. · One of the best attributes of this car is that it is driven, not sitting, and the benefits that go with that. · Pictures are recent, Sunday, Jan 16th, 2011 · Fresh tires, good alignment · Tensioner upgrade · Recent leakdown test pass · Car is maintained at Eurasian in downtown Birmingham Alabama · Matching numbers 1983 SC sunroof coupe and I will provide Porsche's cert of authenticity · Odometer stopped at 138072 in 2008. The service history shows when the clock stopped, and before that I was averaging 8,000 mi per year for 2 years. Based on that, the car has estimated 150,000 miles on it. I have it listed in this auction at 155K for piece of mind. I probably should have fixed it, but my attention to this car was focused on keeping it cleaned and running tight. 5 year service history available. · A/C bits are there and connected, but I don’t use it ever and new owner would have to sort that out if a/c blowing cold is a must for summer. Cold a/c in this type of car is a dream anyways, although I’ve seen people chase that dream · Body o Repainted years back (original color guards red) before I got it and goes well with age of car. o Rock chips in front that should be visible in pics and a paint rub on front drivers valence and rear drivers wheelwell has some imperfections. o A few dings and scratches on the very bottom lower valence visible on driver’s side in pics o There is a quarter-sized dent on the car, which can be seen on rear panel on passenger side, visible right above the signal lens. o Radio antenna is missing. o Otherwise, body is straight and presentable, nice and preserved. I tend to park far from the riff-raff at almost all times. · Interior o Drivers side interior door panel: Note that I have the door pocket that is missing in pics and will be included. A couple screws, and it will be like it was never was missing. o Headliner is torn (see pics). o Front Seats are not original, are electric from later Carrera. o Steering wheel is not original, but very rare and period correct. Porsche Design Momo steering wheel, I’ve seen people rebuild this one. In fact, I will buy you just about any steering wheel you want off ebay and swap it out in exchange if you don’t want this one in the auction.
