Here's a great opportunity to buy one of the most sought-after SUV's on Ebay. 2005 was the last year Ford produced this model, and they are getting harder to find in this original, low mileage condition. This 2005 Excursion is the top-of-the-line Limited model and has all the usual luxury features and options you would expect from a luxury SUV: power steering, power windows, power locks, tilt steering, electrically adjustable pedals, climate control with steering wheel remote, rear A/C, third row seating, factory tint, cruise control, 6-CD stereo, electric seats with driver's memory and lumbar support, power mirrors, trip computer, 12v accessory outlets, rear back-up sensor, fog lights, center console and overhead console, running boards with courtesy lights, rear radio remote control, illuminated keypad entry, leather steering wheel, etc, etc. The list goes on and on. Interior has very nice woodgrain trim and the leather seats are in amazing condition. No rips tears or wrinkles and still smells like leather! Headliner and all panels are clean and stain-free. Carpets are amazingly clean, but have the usual 'used' look. There is a stain in the rear cargo area; I have tried to remove it only once, so it may be gone before the new owner takes delivery. The body is straight with no dings and the paint is glossy and has depth. The front end does have a few rock chips and scratches and the FORD emblem has started to peel for some reason. That's typical and expected on a vehicle that has a front end as big as this one, but none of them are deep. I'd rather be up front with any potential buyers and point this out right away. Besides that, everything else looks much better than your typical 6-year old SUV. Recent maintenance done was limited to new front brake rotors in May 2009, and a new battery and oil change in October 2009. The Excursion has been an extremely reliable and fun vehicle to take on road trips with a full load and 6 passengers; it is so big and roomy it's almost criminal! It does have the factory towing package, which include the Class 3 hitch, 4 and 8 pin connector, HD cooling for the radiator and the transmission. The previous owner never towed at all, and all we towed was a 8-foot utility trailer to haul yard waste. This Excursion has the 310HP, 6.8L V-10 gasoline engine; combined with the towing package, this SUV has a 11,000lbs towing capacity. My family is getting smaller, so there's no more need to have such a large vehicle in our household. Besides that, there's no other reason for us selling it; it's just time for someone else to enjoy it. The vehicle is listed locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction early in the event a local buyer decides to buy it. There is still a small bank lien on the vehicle, so the buyer needs to be understanding and patient when title retreival is concerned.
