1986 MERCEDES-BENZ 560SEL - GARAGE KEPT - LOW MILES - EXCELLENT CONDITION: I AM OFFERING MY 1986 MERCEDES-BENZ 560SEL SEDAN FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION. THE CAR HAS COVERED AN AVERAGE OF JUST OVER 5,000 MILES PER YEAR OVER THE LAST TWENTY-FIVE YEARS, FOR A TOTAL OF 129,323 MILES. THIS IS A VERY HIGH DEMAND MODEL DUE TO THE FACT THAT IT IS A SECOND GENERATION 126 BODY SEDAN THAT IS REPUTEDLY AMONG THE BEST CARS EVER PRODUCED BY MERCEDES-BENZ. THIS CAR HAS BEEN CARED FOR AND MAINTAINED CONSISTENTLY WHICH IS EVIDENCED NOT ONLY BY THE COSMETIC CONDITION, BUT THE INCREDIBLE PROPER DRIVING MANNERS OF THE CAR. THERE ARE NO VIBRATIONS, HICCUPS, SMOKING, LEAKS, ETC. SIMPLY PUT, THIS IS AS NICE A 560SEL AS YOU ARE LIKELY TO FIND. THERE ARE A FEW MINOR FLAWS AS WOULD BE EXPECTED IN ANY TWENTY-FIVE YEAR OLD CAR, BUT, THEY ARE MINOR: A CRACK IN THE DASHPAD; A LOOSE HATSHELF STOP LIGHT, ETC. THE EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR OF THE VEHICLE ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION AND ON TOP OF ALL THAT, THE CAR HAS A NEW PENNSYLVANIA STATE SAFETY AND EMISSIONS INSPECTION CERTIFICATE GOOD THROUGH OCTOBER, 2011. This 560SEL sedan is outstanding condition overall. The exterior of the car is excellent with its excellent white paint and nice chrome. The interior is finished in the original black leather. The leather interior is very nice with no tears present anywhere. There is only some minor wear on the driver's seat, but it is not torn through anywhere. The wool feintuftvelour carpeting is perfect. The burl walnut trim is also excellent throughout the car. Looking at this car it would appear to be only several years old. It has been garage kept all its life. The short of it is that the car is an excellent runner, with a smooth transmission and plenty of power. From a mechanical standpoint, the car has excellent oil pressure and does not smoke. Brakes have just been completely overhauled with new rear calipers, new hoses and pads front and back along with a fluid flush and refill at the local Mercedes dealership. All electrical components operate as intended. The tires are new and are, of course, matching. All power accessories operate well. The AC is ice cold and the heat also works appropriately. The car does not overheat. The eight cylinder engine will provide all the power you will ever need in an automobile no matter where you are or under any conditions. You will not find a more luxuriously appointed 1986 car anywhere. Even the seat heaters and the rear seat recliner operate. Riding in the car is like being in a bank vault that can travel at 125mph if you so desire. We average around 22mpg on the highway at sane speeds. The audio system consists of an after-market Alpine Cassette unit with 6 disc trunk mounted CD changer. This car is already a collectible, and it is rare to find one that is rust-free and in the fine cosmetic and mechanical condition as this one.
