5 Day Auction @ No Reserve - Sold To The Highest Bidder This is an original & rare find. A 1968 Pontiac Firebird Factory 400 Number's Matching. Recently documented thru PHS. Factory option's include Hydra-Matic, air conditioning, power steering, console, deluxe wheel cover's, deluxe steering wheel & rear antenna. A Big Block Bird that was built & lived it's entire life in Southern California with it's original Black plate's. Sold new at Fairway Pontiac in Corona, California. Factory color combination is Cameo ivory with Black interior. A original, driving & unrestored Firebird at No Reserve... ______________________________ Past History: Previous owner purchased this Firebird from the original owner close to 20 year's ago in outskirt's of Los Angeles. He barley drove it the last decade or so, nor did any major modifaction's in his time period.Was mostly parked on the side of the home, covered. Previous owner decided in'till recently he would never get around to restoring it in this economy. ______________________________ The body is a fine example of a California car. Original trunk compartment including quarter's & spatter paint. Look's to have been repainted once many year's. Jamb's left original paint. Floor's & undercarriage are in original, clean shape. Best part about the floor's, it never was modifed or replaced. The exterior paint is weak and does have some surface & often seen rust. Complete including the original hood, trunk, 400 emblem's chrome & molding's. The rare rear antenna is still there. The interior is all there & in all intact. Very original and unrestored. Factory am radio still in place as well as the deluxe steering wheel. Gauge's are in place & original console/ shifter. As you can see by the photo's - the interior, it's all there. The original to the car - number's matching 400 V8 Hydra-Matic. Correct " YT " 330HP 10.75, Matching last eight digit's of the vin below on the front of the block pad " 28L101236". Original "XB" 2.56 rear axle. The engine has never came out of the car, nor been painted & remain's totaly stock under the hood. Original air cleaner & chrome valve cover's still in place. The factory Hood insulation is missing. Running & driving just fine. Shift's into all gear's & brake' as well. A/c look's to be complete but Im sure it will need to be gone thru to work promplty. Look's to be the stock exhaust but muffler's have been changed ( bit louder ). Original am radio / speaker turn's on & all dash knob's are there. Does have the original owner's manual. Overall, this is a complete California 68' Firebird 400 unrestored & original. A great Bird to restore or drive around in it's current condtion. A postive point on this Pontiac that it has it's original panel's and a documented & matching number's Pontiac Firebird. Please keep in mind, this is a 40+ year's old and show's it's age.
