Up for your consideration is a 1981 HONDA 750C DOHC Custom!! I recently aquired this bike from a private collector...This bike has been a part of his collection for about the past 5 years. Unlike some collectors of antique/limited production bikes of this era, this bike was ridden at least once a month for the past 5 years until about July of 2010. Due to health reason he reluctantly agreed to begin selling his collection of over 40 years, this 81 750C is one of those bikes......I would describe this bike as a virtually unmolested "survivor"! The 750 DOHC was only produced 2 years and in 1981 was only available in 2 different paint schemes, This was the desired Cosmo Black/w Candy blue Metallic. This bike has all the original paint, chrome fenders, etc the Keihin Carbs and air box are all original and are virtually untouched. This bike is also equipped with the dual front disk and the air assisted front forks all intact. Even the sticker for recommended pressures is still in place...One of the things that makes this bike a true survivor is it's virtually remained untampered all these years and the factory decals are all still in place!!!.... As you know when these bikes were sold new there were small decals everywhere for tires pressure recommendations chain tension, helmet locks, passenger warnings etc and ALL of these decals are still in place and in good condition the one on top the tank has started to age crack away but even it's still legible.(see pics for close-ups).. It has a brand new Dunlop rear tire and the Front is 95% and new rear brake shoes were installed when the tire was done. The front disc pads look almost new.... Bike starts right up-but would recommend a carb clean to make it perfect (fuel additive may actually do the trick) Bike is missing one of the side cover emblems. The seat will need to be recovered and sadly there are some what look like belt buckle scratches in the tank and a small ding pointed out in the pics....These bikes are increasing in value EVERY YEAR !!! With no end end in sight...and virtually impossible to find in this sort of condition!!!!.... THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION!!!!
