1967 Mustang Red Convertible – GT Options Drive a part of classic car history. I bought this pristine 67 convertible for my daughter in 2000 from an estate sale in San Jose, CA where the previous owner, who was a grandfather, had driven it only to car shows & rally’s. After buying the car, restoration began in 2004 with a brand new Ford factory “Red” paint job and the original matching numbers engine & transmission was rebuilt by Ford specialist Robichau Automotive. The engine, radiator, trans, power steering pump, and all mechanical has seen just 20,100 miles since the rebuild. Powered by the freshly rebuilt 289 C.I. V8 "C" code engine with new 2bbl Autolite carburetor and an automatic C-4 transmission makes this convertible a Mustang you can drive anytime with confidence. My daughter drove this car daily in the S.F. Bay area to finish her college degree then in 2004 around Ventura County until she moved to Laguna Beach and bought a new car; (that’s her in the top down picture). She does not have the garage space for 2 cars so this beautiful convertible is now available for someone else to drive and enjoy and maybe a few car shows for even more fun. The vintage interior is exceptionally clean and includes the “luxury option package” with brushed aluminum dash with matching automatic floor console with front hide-away-storage and interior rear light. It also has the rare “finned black aluminum” lower door “kick-panels”. Brand new carpets & Mustang logo floor mats were installed last week under a new soft white Robbins power convertible top & new pads, with split-glass rear window, and matching boot with custom made left & right exterior boot pads. This beauty is equipped with upgraded Pertronix “pointless” distributor & ignition system, new power steering and front 4 piston disc brakes which makes this Mustang a safer and more pleasurable car to drive. Upgrades include a trunk mounted CD changer and Bose speakers which provide for great sound.
