Vehicle Detail

EBAY WOULD NOT ACCEPT THE VIN SO I HAD TO PUT 1980. THIS IS ACTUALLY A 1982 as discussed in the title and the posting. The car is located in AMES, IOWA For sale is a good little driver. This is a 1982 inline 6 Mercury Zephyr 4 door. It has all of the extras (cruise, tilt, A/C, heat). This was purchased back in the spring by my brother and I with plans on racing it in May of 2011. We have since found a different car that we feel will suit our needs a little better. Since purchasing it in the spring, we have put a new gas tank on it and also had the oil changed (at a cost of nearly $400). We also had a new side mirror (glass piece) installed. The car is in great working order. The heat and A/C both work, and it only has 82,000 original miles. The interior is in amazing shape. There are no cracks, rips, or fading anywhere. The car has some rust around the wheel wells which is expected, and has a small crack in the windshield on the passenger side. The ceiling in the car needs to be glued, but that doesn't impare the vehicle from driving. It requires a cover for the windshield wiper tank (missing) and the radio is not installed which again doesn't prevent the car from running. This is a great car for a new driver with plenty of visibility or anyone who is on a limited budget and needs a reliable vehicle to get around. I personally have driven this on the interstate at 65+mph, and with the cruise set, it runs like a top. It is for sale locally and as such I retain the right to end the auction at anytime. This car isn't a show queen, its just good reliable transportation. You can see in the photos that the paint is not in great shape. Just want to be very clear that this is a "driver" and priced as such. I live out of state and the car is being sold locally by my youngest brother. I have very limited access to email so I will unlikely be answering any questions. This auction is standard "what you see is what you get" kind of affair. Thanks
