I KEEP RECEIVING QUESTIONS ABOUT THE CAR....SO I AM ADDING THIS...... The "history" of the car...as I know it.... I bought the car a few months ago....intending to give it to my son....so I put the title in his name. The people I purchased it from...here in Florida....owned it for about ten years.....they bought it from a collector in Minnesota....and brought it down to Florida on a flatbed....did not drive it down. I think he was the original owner. The title is now in my name. The car has always been stored indoors. I don't see any rust anyplace on it....NO DENTS....NO DAMAGE TO THE EXTERIOR......the only thing not original is the head liner....the people I bought it from did replace that. The car is beautiful....just needs to be washed and polished....it's dusty from sitting in my garage. The interior is almost mint condition....except for the crack in the molded part by the door....I show that in one of the photos......and a tiny bit of wear on the top side of the drivers seat. A few paint chips on the outside.....and that's all. I look at some of the other firebirds listed for sale on ebay....and they need so much to restore them....if you can even find what's needed. This car looks almost brand new inside and out!!! My son is a mechanic for toyota, and he checked it all out....there is nothing wrong with it. Whoever buys it...could just drive it home! I am a 65 year old female...and I'm not crawling under the car. I held the camera under it and tried to take some photo...some are blurry...I probably moved...I did the best I could, THIS IS A VERY RARE EDITION OF THE FIREBIRD.....79 Redbirds are the only full year where we know the production numbers for sure. In his book "Firebird Decoding Guide" (aka "Number Crunching"), Thomas DeMauro wrote that 4,248 1979 Redbirds were made. That's out of 30,853 Esprits built in 1979. The car is all original factory.....a few minor imperfections......ask by email and I will go over them with you.
