1958 MGA Roadster 1500. I am 51 years old and have owned this car since I was 16 years old. For the past 30 years it has been sitting next to my home under a covered parking area. When I was 19 my brother tried to rebuild the carbs and from that point on it hasn't run. I have always had dreams of restoring this car and have finally come to grips that I will never have the time for such a feat. My son removed a number of aesthetic parts from the car and placed them in a box about 10 years ago. These parts include the grill, emblems, headlights, and mirrors. I have tried to represent this car as best I can with the pictures, but if there are any questions that I can answer please ask and I will do my best to reply. I have the title in hand that I got in July of 1974. The car does not have seats or a top (no soft top frame as well). I have included a picture of the small parts that my son took off of the car. The mirrors are all still in incredible shape and are clean enough to put right back on the car after restoration. As you can see there is some rust on the body and under the car. The car has been in Phoenix, AZ since I have owned it so I would think that most of this rust is surface rust that hasn't gone too deep and altered the integrity of any parts or the frame. I just stood on the original wood floors and they held me up just fine. I have also included pictures of the area just under the driver and passenger doors and the rear wheels as this is a good indication to the extent of any rust. On Jan-01-11 at 09:51:07 PST, seller added the following information: Update: 1/1/2011 - Had a friend as well as a bidder stop by this morning to help me check to see if the engine was frozen. Good news is that the engine seems to be turning and those present seemed convinced that it was not frozen. Rear brakes haven't fared so well however as it was a tough push to move the car.
