Hello, I am selling a very rare1986 Isuzu Trooper 2.2 4 Cyl. - Turbo Diesel, with 155900 miles, ONE OWNER since new. It is a 4x4 ( 3 settings) , 4 doors + 2 rear doors/gates, with Air conditioning, Manual transmission, Original radio which works. Wipers work, door locks work, winshield is cracked, windows roll up and down, needs exhaust system attention/repair, good tires all around plus matching spare, air blower does not work, removable rear seat, lights work ( might need some bulbs), clutch is good. The exterior is rusty, underrcarriage is rusty.The interior is in decent to good condition, could use some cleaning, one trunk trim is missing (see pic). Has cargo trunk roll away cover. The car has Engine Warmer. Here is the amazing thing: the car was sitting for a long time when I acquired it recently, I charged the battery and it started right up in 10 degrees cold outside. I started the car several times in mornings when it was single digits temperatures and it started with no problems and without using the engine warmer. The engine and transmission are in very good condition, very strong. Only smokes and shakes a little when started first time in the morning then it runs steady and smoothly. Its a great diesel car: simple technology, strong mechanics, no complicated computers. The transmission shifts fine in all gears forward and reverse. The car sound very quiet when running, quieter than a Passat or Jetta diesel. The battery is good, the glow plugs work fine. Hood latch cable needs replacing. Rear bumper is rusty, needs replacing. Car has roof racks and also comes with 2 extra racks not installed (see pic). Brake pedal feels soft but it works, rear door/gate handle is partialy broken/craked but it works, glove box functions properly, all doors open and close properly, mirrors are good. The car runs and drives, body in rusty condition, mechanically very strong. I drove it locally but I would not attempt to drive it long trips until it gets a good tune up and necessary repairs. Very rare vehicle, low mileage for a diesel, you can read about them on line. I tried to be detailed in the description but you must understand this a 24 year old car, so don't expect a new car, please ask questions. The engine and transmission alone are worth over $ 3000.
