Hello there fellow Suzuki Samurai fans! Today I am listing a 1987 Suzuki Samurai Off-Road Machine. It has been setting up to be a great little off-road rig. I am in the process of building a new off-road machine, so I have to sell this one to find my new project. Here are the details. 1987 Suzuki Samurai, with clear Illinois title. About 150,000 miles on the rig. It has the 5.12 gears from a Suzuki Sidekick in the front and rear diff. The rear is welded and the front has a Lock-Rite locker in it. It has a matching set of (4)235/75/15 Tires on it. 80% tread life left. It has the stock Samurai t-case, but with the lower gears in the front and rear diffs, it turns the tires with ease. Also has aluminum drive-shaft spacers. Stock 5-speed Samurai transmission. It has a Weber carb that is less than 1 year old. It has a fuel cell instead of the stock gas tank. Body is beat pretty good, as you can tell in the pictures. This is a wheeler, not a daily driver vehicle. Starts and runs good. Transmission shifts fine. Buy this for a fraction of what it would cost you to build it. Vehicle is being sold as-is where is. You are bidding to own this, not bidding for the right to come look at it and see if you want it or not. It is bare bones. No A/C, no power steering, no radio. This thing will go just about anywhere. It would also be great for a hunting vehicle, or a runabout up at your cabin. It has some issues, mainly it is not that pretty and it has some rust. I have done my best to show the worst of it in the photos. It starts right up, doesn’t smoke or knock, the motor is really solid. Clutch feels good to.. The interior is in rough shape. The seats are pretty torn up, but it has some seatcovers that hide the worst of it. The vehicle is located in Riverton, IL 62561 and must be picked up here unless other arrangements are made PRIOR to the end of the auction. I am willing to help with your transportation company, but all arrangements and fees are your responsibility. I am also willing to deliver the Samurai up to 250 miles for a $1.25 per loaded mile. I require a $250 non-refundable deposit within 24 hours of the end of the auction. I will accept PayPal for the deposit, but the balance must be paid for in cash (in person only). I require the balance to be paid within 7 days of the end of the auction or when you come pick it up, which ever comes first. Someone will invariably ask, “Can I drive this home?” my answer is that I you can do whatever you want, because it is yours. But it is not a street legal vehicle the way it is. Not sure what all you would need to do to it to make it legal in your state. I would bring a trailer and get it home safely.
