This is a very nice automobile. It is a 1957 Chevy 2 door sedan. It is stunning to look at and drive. It was a one owner car that was setting in a garage and barely drove for more than 50 years. The car has had a paint job and the seats were recovered in around 1980. It drives great and it has the original 283 with the original power glide transmission. The engine sounds and runs great. Transmission shifts out great. The tires were replaced with radials about 6 months ago. The spare is a bias ply tire and could possibly be the original. It has a jack that is also in the trunk. The milage says 550 and the speedo does work so we will assume the odometer rolled over. The steering wheel does not have any cracks and does not look very worn. The headliner is original and is in very good condition for it's age. The engine compartment is clean and looks original but does not have airconditioning. The trim is nice but not perfect. It too is all original. One of the front spears has a ding and some of the chrome has pits or flaws. It is not a show car but you will have a very hard time finding one in the original conditions that could come close to this car. The dash looks great. The radio did not come on when I tried. The transmission indicator is stuck in park. The wire probably is off. The glass looks very good with little to no seperation or frost. It does have a minor exhaust leal or bad muffler. This would be a great driver or parade car. We think this is not a belair because it does not say anywhere on it that is is. The car has some rust and the underneath has been painted for preservation. We have taken alot of pictures and have more if you need them. There is no warranty left on a car this old. We are selling for an estate and will not be able to take any trades or offers. This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION. If you are the high bidder you will be required to pay for the car. I drove the car 45 miles to get it here and had no problems. I would not be scared to drive it anywhere. I do not know when it was last serviced but if you live along way away I would suggest it be serviced and checked all out.
