Vehicle Detail
1968 TRIUMPH TR250 OUTSTANDING ORIGINAL, UN-RESTORED, ORIGINAL PAINT AND INTERIOR, NO RUST OR ACCIDENTS! The car is a documented 4 owner car from new. Sold new in Seattle Washington on 5-17-69. It has spent it's entire life pampered, in the Pacific Northwest. I purchased this car in 1992 from the second owner in Portland and passed it on to a friend of mine in (also in Portland Oregon) in 1994. He kept it all these years and put only put 2000 miles on it in that time. This car has always been garage kept by all owners, so there is no rust anywhere. It has been in no accidents and amazingly still has it's original interior and paint. There is one very small paint touch-up on the LH rear wing, and the bonnet stripe was repainted in the 70's. It has 84,000 original miles from new. It is a fully optioned TR250 with the rare factory 4 speed overdrive transmission, wire wheels and radio. The gearbox, overdrive and rear end were completely overhauled before I purchased the car back last year. Engine, brakes and electrical systems are all very good. The top has been redone many years ago and is also very good. The original seats are excellent, the door panels are flat and beautiful, dash as well is very nice. Carpet is very good except the 2 front firewall pieces have gone missing. It has brand new wire wheels and new splined hubs with old redline tires. There is a small ding in the RH front wing by the headlight (see photo). There are numerous small door dings here and there (that could be bumped out) but the over all look and condition is a truly amazing un-restored original car. I have a very impressive stack of service records and receipts from new to present, including original sales deposit and window sticker, the original Washington white license plate and registration cards that document ownership history. The engine compartment is very clean, correct and tidy, but has not been detailed. The chassis is also rust free, straight and very clean and tidy. I have an original owners manual and some service books. This is a car for the advanced collector or investor who understands the value and appreciation potential of an un-restored car and wants one of the best originals left on the planet. The old red line tires and the original windscreen (a few small rock chips) are the only things on the car I would ever consider replacing. Many consider the Triumph TR 250 to be the most valuable and desirable triumph made. They were produced for one year only(1968) and only 8500 total units were produced, making it one of the rarest Triumph's made. Remember a car is only truly "ORIGINAL" once. Don't miss your chance to own one of the very best truly rare "SURVIVORS" on the planet. The car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early. Successful high bidder pays all shipping and delivery costs. No bidders with fewer than 10 + feedback scores. Good luck
