SWEET BMW 740i PROJECT!!! DESCRIPTION Here is my beloved 1994 BMW 740i that I have owned since 1999 when I bought it with 72K miles. Up until 2004, it had only 91K miles until I had to work 75 miles away from home for 2 1/2 years. Hence why it has 230K miles. This car was my garage queen until I had to use it as my daily driver. You will also get the original wheels similar to one of the pictures of the spare tire. GREAT WINTER PROJECT!! During the time I have owned it, I had the following things done to it: Installed Lowered springs when I first bought the car. Installed a Panasonic stereo - doesn't eject the CD anymore Installed New Cross Drilled rotors and brake pads 2 months ago Installed a new radiator last year Installed new hoses and belts 3 years ago Installed a new battery last year Installed a new fuel pump last year Installed plugs last year Installed valve cover gaskets last year The reason it is a project car is that it needs the following: Headlights because one of the high beam light is broken - $125 on ebay Foglights - both lenses are broken - $50 on ebay Center driveshaft and center bearing support $200 on ebay O2 sensor - $80 on ebay Water pump - $30 on ebay Shocks/struts - $399 on ebay Tires Now it needs a front driver side brake caliper As for the condition of the car: Some scratches and chips One rust spot under the paint on the driver side mirror and one quarter size rust spot under the paint on the sunroof Leaking coolant by the water pump Leaking power steering fluid but not sure where since the power steering pump seems to be working when their is fluid. Some oil leak not sure where but you have to fill one quart of oil a month. The driverside and passenger side seats are cracked. Heck just put covers. The front driverside caliper piston has seized. The car would need to be towed unless you like driving it with the seized piston. Be aware of this before you bid! I am going to miss this car dearly but it is time to hand it over to someone who can put more care to the car. The car can be picked up in Rockford, IL just west of Chicago and South of Madison, Wisc. REMEMBER, THIS CAR IS SOLD AS IS!
