1963 Ford 4x4 Stepside I got this old truck as part of a package deal on several and just don’t need it. It’s a cool old truck. I was told was used in a Travis Tritt video and also a beer commercial. It has a paint patina that you just can’t reproduce. Would make a great rat rod! It has always been a New Mexico truck. The good... Engine is a big in line 6 cylinder single barrel carb...it starts easy and runs well but needs a tune up. 4 speed tranny shifts well 4x4 engages and pulls well...lock out hubs work easy. all glass is good all knobs, handles and some extras are there all lights work grille is in great shape Heavy duty front bumper houses a PTO driven heavy duty winch. It works well and has good cable. The PTO engages from in the cab and also from the bumper. It stops well. Tires are decent. 5 hole 16” wheels I drove this truck 70 miles home and it ran good, burned no oil but would only run about 50 mph. We checked all the fluid boxes and they were full and clean All grease fitting have been well lubed for years. There is no heavy rust of frame or structural members The bad... The cab corners are rusted out, very common in these trucks There is rust where the steps on the bed meet the bed sides. There is rust in both floor pans above cab mounts. All these can be repaired with patch panels from LMC. The rolling frame and driveline along with the PTO transfer case are worth the reserve price. I have a clear New Mexico title.
