Vehicle Detail
This would make a GREAT Christmas present and you can drive it home! RIght from the start, let's be very clear, this is a 32 year old Little British Car fun machine. Is it 100% perfect - NO, but it has been lovingly taken care of and is a head turner that has won awards at almost every car show I have entered it into. Clean, Clear Illinois Title - Sold as is - where is. Please ask questions. Runs and drives ....Fun, Fun, Fun! Now for you LBC officianados you will notice that the engine has been upgraded to include a MSX Aluminum CrossFlow Head ($1,500), Webber DGV ($800), Stainless Exhaust Manifold, Mallory Dual Point Distributor, Aluminum Valve Cover, Hose Dress Up Kit, a dual Fan System (orginal plus a radiator mounted thermostatic controlled fan - really nice if you are stuck in traffic), a remote oil filter (makes changing oil a snap), a GM Alternator upgrade and I'm sure I'm forgetting something or other. Interior - Seat covers are all new and generally the interior is in very good shape with all gauges and switches functional. AM/FM/CD radio with detatchable face plate with amplifier and box speakers. Convertible Top - is a couple of years old but it not your standard MGB top. This is a quality fabric soft top that gives the car a very classy look when you decide to put it up. Under Carriage: Polyurethane bushings all around, King Pins replaced about 5 years ago and well maintained since, brakes in good shape, converted to tube shocks on the rear, exhaust system good. You will get an occasional oil drip under the car - but if you know anyting about british sports cars - this is normal. Most owners say it's how they know there is fluid in the car! Wheels and Tires: Tires are brand new 185/70-14's. Wheels are chome spokes. Exterior: Generally in very good condition. A few minor paint chips and dings but no rust apparent. Chrome and rubber is all in good condition. Doors, Hood and Trunk all fit and latch well. Fog lamps added below the front bumper. Most if not all seals have recently been replaced. Windshield has a couple of rock chip repairs. Overall, this is a great MGB. Unfortunately I promised my wife that I would sell "Margaret" (named by one of the grandkids) if she allowed me to buy an MGA. I did and now I must keep my word.
