1965 FOR MUSTANG CLASSIC WITH NEW ENGINE You're bidding on a very well setup Hot-Rod mustang. The car is set up like a street-albe vintage race car, and it sounds healthy. It has a built 289 with less than 400 miles on it. This is NOT the typical machine shop slap together, cheap generic parts, low budget engine. This engine was built by a meticulous professional race builder. Each cylinder has hand file to fit rings, using a head plate 6 cylinders had 0% leak down, 2 had 1% leak down. It has 185psi per cylinder across the board and runs great on pump gas. The car has been upgraded to a 1967 Big block radiator so cooling is not an issue. Although it has a fairly radical cam, it's docile enough to drive daily on the street. The car has been lowered front and rear, although it's hard to tell in the pictures. The car has a much better stance and handling. It has traction bars in the back and also helps to keep the rear suspension tied down. This car is not boaty like a stock mustang. The battery has been relocated to the trunk. The paint is very nice and shiny. It's all been color sanded, no orange peel. It's a great driver paint job. It's has minor blemishes that can only be seen up close. the interior is nice. The seats have all been redone with silver inserts, carpet, door panels, headliner, new Grant wooden steering wheel. The dash is a little sagged, and it's easily repairable. The car is well maintained. All fluids are new, coolant, engine oil, transmission, rear end. This Mustang is fun to drive and you will get a lot of looks!!!
