1982 BMW 320i E21 with clear Massachusetts title. This car was originally from Florida and was brought to Massachusetts in 2007 by the previous owner. I bought it from him with an intention to install some perfomance upgrades and use it as a daily driver. However, that never happend because I also bought a 1971 BMW 2002 that took up all my time and funds. At the time I bought it the engine lacked power and there was quite a bit of blue smoke comming from the exhaust on acceleration. I took the head off and to have it rebuilt but that never happened. The head was returned back on the motor but the timing was not set because the work still needs to be done. The engine will need the head rebuilt or possibly new piston rings but I doubt it because the car only has 138,000 miles. When I drove it the manual transmission shifted fine and was tight as well as the rear differential. The real good thing about this car is that the body and undercarriage are in very good shape with only minimal surface rust in certain areas shown in pictures. The original factory alpine white paint looks very good. Unfortunately my neighbour backed into the car a few months ago and put a big dent in the passenger door and a dent in the front fender. I was able to locate a very good door (same color) from a salvage yard and replaced the damaged one. I got a black leather rear seat and all black leather door panels from the same salvage car and replaced the blue ones. The front seats are still original blue cloth seats. The heater panel will need to be replaced because the mounting tabs broke off. The dash has numerous cracks in it. I installed front drilled rotors, pads and stainless steel brake lines all around. The tires are in very good shape and the complete exhaust was replaced by the previous owner. THE CAR CAN NOT BE DRIVEN BECAUSE THE HEAD AND THE BOTTOM END NEED TO BE SYNCHRONIZED AT TDC AND (TIMED) Local pick up is very much preferred. If you want to have it shipped you will have to arrange it yourself. PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED WITHIN 7 DAYS OF THE END OF THE AUCTION OR THE TRANSACTION WILL BE CANCELLED AND NEGATIVE FEEDBACK LEFT
