Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Please Read, look at pictures, ask questions, if you need extra pictures ask. 1967 MGB, run great, looks decent, excellent for a fall restoration, or provide a little TLC and drive as is. This MGB has been stored indoors and last licensed in 1998. According to the previous owner the motor was rebuilt by a reputable local engine re-builder during its storage time. It has very little time on engine after the rebuild. The engine is clean inside and out which bears truth to the story. It was started occasionally during storage and currently starts easily, runs and sounds great. This was told to me by the previous owner and I have no paper work to prove it, so only consider it a good running engine. The good, bad, and indifferent. I’ve tried to add enough pictures to show all the flaws, if more pictures are needed please contact me with what you would like to see. I cannot guess what you're thinking, again please ask. The indifferent: The paint job is amateur, looks good at 10 feet, but has several flaws in body work and paint upon closer inspection. The bumpers are in need of re-chroming or replacing. But they are generally straight and not beat up. Over-riders have damage. see pictures. The car looks like an eighties redo. Paint is metallic, has aftermarket steering wheel, fog lights, oil pressure gauge and several toggle switches that I haven’t figured out what they do. It also has Weber carburetor and header. Good tires. Floors pans have been replaced, but was not replaced with the newer style Heritage floor pans. If you want it for a driver, current floorpans are solid no holes but I would suggest new floorpans. Transmission shift good, no abnormal sounds. Windshield is clear and is not broken, but has a light wiper scratch. Both side windows are clear. The passenger side door glass has a small chip on the edge. The passenger side wing glass need a hinge, less than $10:00 from Moss. Has a cartridge style oil filter canister, need a spin-on adapter installed. The Bad: Needs top, has a tear on the passenger side and driver side at the hold down hook. See Picture. Rust: Needs patch panels on the right side lower front fender, the lower left front fender can be repaired. Both doors have rust in the lower front corners, they also are repairable. The crack of Doom, Both doors have the mirror cracks, I have been successful at welding the cracks on other MGBs, and several sites give instruction on repairing these cracks. Trunk floor has had a patch. (See picture) Four holes were cut to install speakers behind the seat. When driving at low speeds it feels like a rear wheel need alignment. The Good: The Motor, sound and runs great. No Smoke. See youtube video @ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d0rjbLinfBo The distributor and generator have been replaced with new/rebuilt/re-manufactured items. The top frame is in very good condition. Wire wheels. Seats and carpet are a little better average, passenger seat has small tear low on the outside of the back. See picture. Good Brakes!!!!!! Excellent Exhaust. I’ve tried to include everything, but please ask questions. I have only driven this car a few miles around the neighborhood, so there may be small problems that I have not discovered. If you need more pics or further information e-mail me. Deposit of $500.00 per Paypal within 48 hrs, the remainder in cash a pickup. Pickup to occur within 7 days after close of sale, unless further arraignments are made. Delivery is possible up to 300 miles for an additional fee. Due to the fact that it has set for 12 years, I would not trust drivin long distances. This is not a new car, it is 43 yo, such thing as springs, shocks, rack, tie rod end, transmission, rear end, doors, hood, trunk lid, chrome, grill, etc are representative of a 43 yo car. Know what you are buying, Ask questions. This car is sold as is, no warranty is implied.See and listen to video of engine and one side of car @ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d0rjbLinfBo The camera died before I got the rest of the car. The engine noise is louder due to the valve cover cap is off. Please ask questions if you do not see what you want Thanks
