Vehicle Detail
This little Infiniti... ...i30 has been a very dependable as well as economical member of our little fleet these last few years. However, we need to get a pickup and the Infiniti is the next logical car to exit for this purpose. Like with all of our cars, they usually leave us better than they came to us. I've installed a Clarion VX400 Double Din CD/DVD/i Pod Player where the original radio should have been when I got the car. Someone had installed a sort of cheesy looking after market CD player in the original player spot. I'm pretty picky about sticking non-factory stuff in the dash of a nice car and I think this is a very nice looking as well as great sounding addition! Since I got the car it has never had anything but synthetic (Castrol Syntec) motor oil for it's regular maintenance. In case you have never used a synthetic oil, I personally believe they it is one of the main secrets to long, trouble-free engine life. This car does not smoke, knock, or have any lights indicating mechanical problems. The engine is very powerful and smooth all the way up the revs. Most every option... ...seems to have been ordered for this car. In addition to the list that comes up with the VIN, it has side airbags (for a total of 4) dual lighted visor vanities, a programmable garage door opener built into the visor, auto trunk and gas door releases, dual power seats, factory mag wheels, cruise, tilt, and fog/driving lights, and of course a tilt/slide dark tint moon roof. Everything seems to work fine. The car has no leaks, the four speed auto shifts very smoothly. There is a key fob and Key-less Entry with a factory alarm system that all still works. The i30 for 1999 is essentially a re-badged Nissan Maxima, with some subtle improvements and of course the well-respected 'Infiniti' nameplate. Other standard and optional equipment that is part of the very long list: Dual electrically controlled and heated outside rear-view mirrors. A auto-dimming inside rear-view mirror. Auto-on headlights, cornering lights, driver's side lumbar adjustment, dual front fully reclining seats. There are still probably some things I'm forgetting. In other news...: ...There are a few paint issues, but not really too many. I took a picture of the worst one near the tail light. Even it's hard to see if you don't know what you're looking for. The spoiler in front has some splotchy repair painting done where I hit a small animal on the highway last winter. I'm going to try to clean it up a little bit, but I think it's a fairly easy patch job. The car over all is very roadworthy and gets about 27 MPG highway. Incidentally, the AC compressor and clutch are only a few months old and the Climate Control works perfectly. I had a tune up done recently, the mechanic told me at the time the car ran as good as any he'd been in lately with 1/3 the mileage. Also, the front brake pads were replaced last February and the car has a lifetime rotate and balance agreement through Wal Mart. To Conclude...: This is a very decent car. It doesn't need much to make it an excellent car. It really doesn't need anything but a few aesthetics at the moment. Please do not bid if you do NOT have the money. I have run across this behavior a couple of times the last few years and we simply cannot tolerate it. Also, I have the car for sale locally and concurrently so I reserve the right to end the auction early. I will try to be supportive of anyone needing shipment arranged, but I was to stress that shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.I'm starting the bidding low, and the reserve is still way less than the average wholesale. KBB says the car retails (even with the high highway miles) in the $4000 range... but as you know with used cars - they're always worth no more than what you can get for them, so I just try to average all of that sort of information out so everyone comes out OK.
