A fantastic driver!... 1955 MG TF Chassis No. HDP469430 Engine: 1250cc Transmission: 4-Speed Manual The MG TF was only produced for two years 1954 -1955 as a stopgap between the MG TD and the MGA. The re-faced TD, fitted with the TD Mark II engine, a sloping radiator grille, and headlights in the wings. The external radiator cap was now a dummy, as a pressurized cooling system was fitted to better cope with hot climates. When the MG TF was first introduced, it was powered by a XPAG 1250cc engine but the demands for more power by the consumers brought about the additional 250 cubic-centimeters. HDP469430: This last year production TF offered here is the perfect candidate for a weekend cruiser! Although the restoration is older, the car has been garaged for the majority of its life. Bumper guards, parking lights, dual chrome-plated mirrors, Lucas driving lamps, wide white-walled tires and painted wire wheels with knock-offs complement the flowing lines of this handsome automobile. The exterior finish has not withstood the test of time as well as the rest of the vehicle, cracking and chipping has occurred in areas throughout the paint. The undercoating is still remains intact, and rust is certainly not an issue. Well maintained and well preserved, the inviting cockpit is trimmed in red leather upholstery with black carpeting.
