Up for auction is this sharp looking 65 VW Beetle custom cruiser. Note! My digital camera photos show a date of 2005. The photos were actually taken in late September, about 8 weeks ago. This car came from San Diego and is a true rot free Southern california car. 300 miles on a rebuilt 1500 engine and complete clutch job. Very nice Alpine White paint job is about a year old. Custom white vinyl interior with green piping on the seats was done a few years ago. Super looking Britax aftermarket ragtop. Chrome rims with hubcaps. 12 volt conversion. Tinted socal custom one piece door windows(other windows are not tinted). The rear end has been lowered but not slammed. The front end has been lowered as well and has an adjustable front end. Clear title.....Note! The reserve price is very close to the opening bid price. ---New Cooper CS4 Touring Tires(4) 185/65R15 ---New headliner ---New Wiring Works complete wire harness and fusebox ---New Turquoise running boards and chrome trim ---New front windshield ...New headlight assemblies and front turn signals ---New spare tire ---New clutch cable and clutch(bowden) tube ---New front trunk latch and release cable. ---New front brake drums, wheel bearings, and seals ---New carpet The bottom of the car(pans, rockers, heat channels) are super. There is some kind of grey undercoating and if you peel it off with your fingernail there is shiny black enamel under it. If you live in Pennsylvania like me you never see a beetle bottom like this. Some things that need attention are the following. The Jensen radio works but the cassette does not. The previous owner installed the 1 piece SoCal tinted windows in the doors. The glass runners and tracks are not perfect and there is some excess adhesive showing in certain spots.The interior seats and door panels are not perfect but are very nice.The muffler and heater boxes are in good shape. Heater boxes are not connected to the car interior. I only ran this car in the summer for cruises and shows, so the heater was not needed. The bumpers are very good and may be original, but have some small dents and scratches. The headlight assemblies have green bulb parking lights and this gives off a cool looking green glow at night.This is a great summer time cruise car. Many people flock to it at my local car cruise and give many compliments. It's a sure head turner and drives very nicely. The engine and tranny run super and strong.
