Recently bought this car from a guy who had put a lot of work and parts into it. It was in such good condition and need so little to finish it that I couldn't resist. Problem is my HOA is wondering if I'm starting a free parking parking lot. That been said, DeSoto has to go. As you can see from the pics there is little damage and almost zero rust. From what I have been able to find out, this car was build and sold in California and later moved to Arizona. The previous own had recently had the engine overhauled and I have found no signs to suggest otherwise. The first time I started the engine, I put in a new battery, I spun it a few times to prime it, energized the ignition, put a little gas directly down the carb and it fired right up and ran beautifully with no smoke out the tail pipe. I have not taken it out for a drive but only moved it back and forth in the drive to test the tranny. Everything seemed fine including gas pump, radiator, everything with the exception of . I will take the wife for a cruise later and if there is any problem, I will report it. The body is in great shape. I was told there was two pencil sized holes under the rear seat by the previous owner but I have not pulled the seat to look. The roof is very straight, no kids jumping on this thing. All the doors work fine. hood crowl works fine as does the hood and trunk. Mostly original and all there. The only damage is the rear passenger fender and bumper. I made sure to give a god pic of the damages. For you mafia types, it has a huge clean easily washed truck that can hold 3, maybe 4 bodies if you're willing to shack them and large, dual suicide doors if all you want to do is send a message. As you can see there are lots of spare parts including two radios. The seats all have new material covers some on already, new round edgings, headliner, some new door seals and new carpet (in the big box). All the trim is there and straight enough that a good chrome shop could make look perfect. One set each of small and large hub caps that have the DeSoto logo on them. Spare tail lights. Have the long chrome trim that runs along the bottom of the car, new in the shipping container (not in picture). Have large visor and skirts in great condition. The carb kit you see in the pic has been installed already. Shipping will be up to buyer to arrange. I may be able to give some contacts and may even transport if not to far for a fare rate. Everything seemed fine including gas pump, radiator... everything with the exception of the muffler and tail pipe. It doesn't sound affected by it but the muffler looks it's age and the tail pipe is Swiss cheese.
