This is a 1971 Ford Mustang Convertible with approximately 41,000 original miles. I bought this car to restore but have too many other irons in the fire to get around to this one and hate to see it just set. The car is 1 of 35 produced in 1971 having these color codes and options. It is has a 302 V8, C4-transmission, drum brakes all round (just updated with new drums and pads), power top, AM radio, original interior, and good glass all round. The car has had sloppy repaint at some point with a replaced right quarter panel also. No wrecks on this vehicle and it was a 1 owner car when I got it. Gentleman that I bought it from was the grandson of the original owner and inherited the car in 2003 but never put it back on the road. The car hasn't been on the road since 1993, and was stored indoors since off the road. It has a lot of rust issues, and will at least need floor pans, inner and outer wheel wells, front frame rails, trunk pan and drops, torque box work, some rocker work, door bottoms, and at least a left rear quarter panel replaced. Convertible top is decent but would need replaced, and top frame is excellent. Car also has a new fuel pump, gas tank, brake drums and pads installed in 2010. It was running and yard drivable last fall, but hasn't been started in 12 months. It would need to be trailored regardless as it is not road worthy in present condition.
