Here we have a 1993 Pontiac Grand Am SE 2 door 2.3L engine with automatic transmission. The car runs and drives. The power windows work but are hard to get up straight. The inside heater core was just replaced by us at a cost of 280.00; heater works good! The lights and turn signals work fine. Wipers work fine. Does not smoke or overheat. Leaks oil around front valve covers. Good battery. Front windshield has a u shaped crack in between wipers. The brakes are fine, the tires are fine with about 30-35% tread left. No radio. Guages in working condition. This would be a good student or commuter car with a little tlc. After being driven for about 25 min on the highway, this car will stall when pulling up to a stop. We think it is the overdrive module on the transmission. It is not downshifting, then stalls the car. Also, the front struts rattle and are worn. It wont stall in town, just when overdrive is engaged while driving over 55, and then coming to a stop. It is probably sticking from sitting on our lot, could work itself out or need service. Sorry this wasn't in the original listing, but we just found this out with a prospective buyer who drove the car and said the struts rattle and the overdrive is not shifting down after a highway drive. We tried it in town and it wouldnt do it, but after about 25 min on the highway, it did.On Nov-16-10 at 07:43:27 PST, seller added the following information: The ABS, low collant, and check engine light are on. The engine is FULL of coolant, NO leaks, temp good, no overheating, but light is on anyway.
