1977 Volkswagen van/bus camper conversion. This is a factory conversion by a California company and it is officially called the Adventurewagon. It is often confused or generically called a Westfalia but it is not the same thing. The tires are in good condition. They only have a trip to Florida and back on them. The Van is mechanically sound. The engine runs well and the manual transmission shifts well. The air conditioning is not working. It hasn't since we purchased the vehicle in 2002 with 77725 miles on it. The ammeniities include a two burner gas stove with an LP tank mounted beneath and accessible from the side. The stove also has a metal cover that covers the burners and serves as a counter top when not in use. It has a sink. Also a water reservoir that can be pressurized for the faucet. It has an ice chest. It sleeps 4, two up and two down. The lower bed folds up into a bench seat in the midsection. The matress rolls up neatly behind the seat. It has ample cabinets and drawers for storage of supplies. The engine has more power than a normal VW van engine. It is a pancake 2.0L VW engine. They were used in the Porsche 914 later models and in the Porsche 912E for one year. (ref. Jim, PCA) It has plenty of power when cruising down the highway! Mileage is around 19 MPG Hghway.
