1988 Dodge Aries LE Station Wagon. Parts Hauler? Winter Beater? Student Car? Daily Commuter? Weekend Hobby Hauler? Fishing Car? Whatever reason you may be looking for an inexpensive , economical car with a little more room than the average small car, here it is. And in addition to all that this car is in extremely good condition and very clean. This is a 4 door wagon with a hatchback rear door. It features the 2.2 FWD motor with a 5 speed manual transmission. The exterior is silver in color and the interior is two tone gray cloth. It has a floor shift with console and reclining bucket seats up front. The back seats folds down to provide plenty of hauling space for your needs. With the seat folded down the cargo area is carpeted - Great for hauling your dog, fishing or hunting gear, tools or whatever. The rear floor area lifts up to reveal the "trunk" and this has the original spare and jack, neither of which look like they've ever been used. Everything on this car works and that includes all lights, am/fm radio, windshield washers, parking brake, and the heater. The windows are hand cranked and it has no a/c. Glass is all good, tires and brakes are recently new as was the oil change. The interior is very clean and comfy, the engine and trans work flawlessly - very quiet and smooth. The exterior is nice - it does show a few parking lot dings and dents and scratches but not any major damage. There is no rust through showing although the car does it appear that it was repainted at some time in it's life. The front grill is cracked and I have seen brand new ones for sale here on ebay for about $40. One of the hubcaps is mis-matched but I have seen these on ebay for $20. Also the shocks that hold up the rear hatch are weak and will need to be replaced in the near future. Otherwise I can't think of any other items that need attention. The car is nice and clean, runs great and is kinda fun to drive - but keep in mind that it is 22 years old so there is no warranty. I have no reason to beleive that this car wouldn't go another 100,000 miles but then I would guess it'll all depend on how it's treated. I have a clear Georgia title in my name. Also, if you are a Georgia resident this car does require an emissions test (for the next two years) and I had it tested on Oct 12 and it passed with flying colors! This car is located in the Atlanta Ga area. Transport is the responsibility of the buyer but you could fly in and drive it home. I could provide delivery for a fee, based on where you are located.
