1966 Mercury Comet/Cyclone GTA Convertible. 390 V8 w/ Automatic transmission. This car is one of only 1,305 ever built. Car has been in storage since 1972 so all mileage is original. NON-running. The car has the original 390 V8 and automatic transmission. Some of the upper engine parts have been removed but the block and heads are there as well as a few components in the trunk. Back in 1971 the car was side swiped while parked (no frame damage) but the driver side fender and hood have been replaced. All extra parts are included, including new head light housing. The body is solid, but does have some rust spots, and minor damage. Frame is solid. All the top mechanisms are there, but the top itself does need to be replaced. Unfortunate due to a small storm the back glass window did get broken. No water damage to the interior. The interior is sold, seats are dirty but not ripped. The carpet will need to be replaced. The car has been closed up while in storage so its dusty and dirty but in pretty good shape. This is a straight up convertible not a GTA (sorry for the mix up). Apparently the GT was a manual 4 speed. This has the C6 automatic transmission. (Ebay will not let me change the title description so I am adding this to clarify). It was bought by my uncle in 1970, and was side swiped while parked on the street in 1971. After the hood and fender were replace it he sold it to my father in 1972, where it has been in storage since. I am listing this for him, as we no longer have storage for it and was going to send it to the salvage yard if it didn't sell.
