Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a vintage 1980 GMC (K2500) ¾ ton 4X4 Trailering Special 10,000 GVW pickup originally an automatic now a 5 speed overdrive. The body as far as I know is original. The mechanical (less cruise control) is, as far as I wanted to go is complete. The cosmetic portion was still to be done. Cosmetic being paint, upholstery, seals, door panels and carpet. If the pictures are not clear the colors are grey/silver and pink. THIS IS NOT A FIRE SALE I EXPECT TO RECEIVE A FAIR PRICE FOR THIS TRUCK, I LOVE DRIVING THIS TRUCK AROUND TOWN NOBODY ELSE IN TOWN HAS A PINK TRUCK IT GETS A LOT OF ATTENTION AND OFFERS TO BUY PARTS …EXTRAS…CHANGES from stock: Custom wheels, BFG All Terrain T/A tires 285/75/R16, GM crate motor part no 10067353 260 h.p. 350 ft.lbs torque, 4 bolt main, 2 piece rear main seal, balanced at Houston Engine Balancing, total seal rings. Edelbrock intake and 600cfm carb (elec choke), Hooker ceramic headers, stainless 2 1/2” exhaust Magnaflow mufflers, MSD billet distributor and plug wires, Edelbrock 110 GPH mechanical performance fuel pump, 5” K&N air filter, 4 core brass and copper radiator (compatable with automatic tranny). Belts, fan clutch, water pump - stock flow, 11” clutch, pressure plate, flywheel (balanced with engine), and hoses new with engine swap. NV 4500 5 sp manual tranny, Advance Adapters bell housing and conversion kit (about 1500 miles since new). Tilt steering column from 1979 Suburban (has the automatic stick bump), 3 spoke Grant steering wheel, cruise control parts not installed but go with the truck. Used 100 MPH instrument cluster, zeroed by me when I got the truck, Auto Meter gauges; oil and temp mechanical, oil, temp and volt are LED, tach is bulb type. Instrument cluster housing sliced and diced to hold the Autometer gauges. Replacement dash pad- color correct- not a plastic cover and not painted. Replacement dash bezel. AM/FM cassette radio from a 1986 Chevy, patched the radio hole in the dash to accommodate stock type radio using metal from the ’86 riveted to original dash. Manual fuel selector valve (aircraft grade) installed on passenger side floorboard to bypass non working solenoid, switch on dash controls the fuel level guage that indicates correct level for selected tank. Owner and instruction manuals for the MSD and Edelbrock carb as well as the tune up- parts are included. Parts are springs, stops and vacuum lockout for the MSD and rods, springs and jets for the carb. Receipts for the balancing, engine, transmission adapter, transmission and many other parts too many to name will go with the truck. Aftermarket brushguard, and recent Rancho shocks. Used three point trailering mirrors – never installed - from the 1979 Surburban also included if desired they have some rust but should clean up. A receiver for a trailer hitch is installed under the front bumper. Might still have the TH350 to NP205 transfer case adapter if you want to go back to automatic. Spare tire hangar converted to the modern crank up type (two holes in the bumper, one works the tire cable device the other is for ventilation). Homemade heat shields installed along passenger frame rail to protect fuel system, and a separate shield covers the starter motor and wires. STOCK; Original gear drive NP 205 transfer case, Dana 44 front axle with Spicer manual lockout hubs and GM corp rear differentials. A/C with R12 coolant works great. Mount for second battery for camper or trailering. Owners manual and GM maintanence schedule. HISTORY: The truck was purchased three years ago to be my camper trailer hauler. So far I still have not “finished” the truck and don’t have a trailer. The truck was purchased in Boise Idaho and was owners manual indicates it sold new in Emmit Idaho, definitely a dry country truck. The previous owner said the truck had a slide in camper when he purchased it and he sold it. CONDITION: There is one bad rust spot on the drivers door lower rear corner shown in the pics, all the other rust I am aware of is surface rust. I have several pictures that show the rust spots. There are several drilled holes in the bed for a slide in camper and maybe a fifth wheel hookup. Underneath and overall the body is solid except for the drivers door, underneath the truck is clean. The tranny tunnel has been patched and re-cut for the 5 sp tranny. The carpet has cutouts that missed the hole and is mostly dry rotted. The upholstery is worn and stained and has a big tear and a couple of holes on the drivers side. The door panels are faded and discolored from use and sunshine. The window weatherstrips are shot. The paint on the roof and hood are very faded, the re-paint job to steelhead grey and salmon (pink) was a low quality job at best. The original colors were silver and maroon. The truck drives great; everything mechanically works except the cruise control. Blinkers, lights, windows, a/c, heater, etc all work as they should. EMMISSIONS All of the emissions devices are gone, air pump vapor recovers cat converter, everything is gone and not available. Be sure this truck will be legal in your state if you plan to drive it on the road. It is legal in Texas and has current safety inspection. Payment: A $500.00 deposit will be required within 72 hours of the end of the auction. Any balance will be due at time of pickup. I will deliver (by driving) within 150 miles of Houston if needed. Shipping: Buyer will have to arrange for pickup and shipping. The truck was shipped from Boise by DAS (not a recommendation or endorsement). NO WARRANTY SOLD AS IS
