Vehicle Detail

The real deal! FULLY LOADED, Built in San Jose (R second digit in VIN) and delivered to Pheonix, AZ. where it lived it’s entire life until the enthusiast prior to me brought it here. Never saw snow or salty back east or florida roads. Stayed dry in the desert sun. I bought this car with the intention of keeping this car for life! This is an A CODE CAR. FYI, what the “A CODE” means is that the letter “A” is the 5th digit in the VIN NUMBER would mean the car came equipped from the factory with a 4-barrel carburetor for higher performance. “C-code would denote a standard 2 barrel and a T code would mean the car came as a straight six cylinder. This is an early year production March 1, 1967 car. This fastback came FULLY LOADED from the FACTORY (I have Marti Report). It included from factory POWER DISK BRAKES, AIR CONDITIONING (updated to 134) POWER STEERING, STYL STEEL WHEELS and DELUX TURN SIGNAL HOOD. This car has NEVER BEEN MOLESTED BY A YOUNG KID OR RACED. NO RUST, STRAIGHT AND ORIGINAL! Check out the drain holes on the trunk floor, no rust there in the usual place! Visible are the date code stamps from the factory on each matching number front fenders. Imagine that, not even a fender bender for over 40 years! How many mustangs can say that? Many NOS parts were collected over the years like the pop open gas cap. Only the best for this car! This is an accident and rust free car, meaning it has never seen either in its history. All original sheet metal including floor pans and quarter panels! Try finding that here on EBAY! This car has original 123k pampered miles and showing 23k on the odometer. This fastback drives and brakes straight. Stops on a dime with newly rebuilt POWER DISC BRAKES and wheel cylinders. A new Dual Master cylinder was added for safety. ENGINE Less than 5k miles on rebuild. This motor was built for reliability and performance in mind. Nothing radical. Had the original 289 motorrebuilt with popular EDelbrock Power Pack which consists of, RPM ALUMINUM HEADS and Edelbrock aluminum air-gap intake. All performed at a reputable race shop in Gardena, CA. Internally, complete epoxy coated for better oil flow. Heavy aluminum radiator, correct 7-blade A/C clutch fan with FORD fan shroud, petronic ignition, flamethrower coil and MSD 8mm blue spark plug wires for positive spark. The automatic transmission is tight as well, no slipping at all! I have full Marti report to verify the authenticity of this car. The engine is dressed up with ford racing aluminum valve covers, and a chrome HiPo Air cleaner. The exhaust is a full aluminized exhaust with chrome shorty headers. The exhaust tips are turned down to help keep the back end clean! Stainless quad tips out the back. No oil leaks! EXTERIOR First I want to say that all door gaps align perfectly as should an original panel car. Anyone who knows cars know what I am talking about. Both windshields were removed along with all the chrome and seals before it was painted with DuPont black paint, which has recently been professionally color sanded and buffed to a mirror shine! Put paint sealant on within the last 3 months! Original frame rails, torque boxes quarter panels are all solid with no rust issues ever! All the chrome has been replaced within a month which includes front and rear bumpers, hood and trunk chrome trim, door handles, bullit racing mirror, quarter window outside trim, taillight bezels, antenna, back up light assemblies, GT POP OPEN gas cap, GT500 Shelby emblems, etc. All sheet metal including fenders, hood and trunk lid are original to the car. The new USA built tinted front windshield. Back window in very nice condition. INTERIOR All seats have new seat buns as well as new black upholstery and headliner. The car came with a parchment color interior so I had it all changed to black. New molded black carpet, fold down carpet, headliner, dash pad, door panels padded visors and chrome, interior mirror, dash chrome bezels, inserts, door handles etc. Arm rest, Padded cruiser console with two cup holders and a center storage box under the arm rest. Shelby Cobra Snake floor mats. I also installed a Shelby style Moto-Lita three spoke steering wheel. No speaker hole cut into the rear folding trap door like so many else. Under the fenders are the fattest BFG radial tires I could put without modifying the body panels. Mounted on the new 15 inch Shelby 10-spoke wheels, this look cant be beat! They don’t have more than 4k miles on them! Bottom line: If you are looking for a keeper car, a second digit “R” west coast San Jose built car, fully loaded, you found it! They don’t get more original or clean for that matter. This type of car makes for a quality investment for the future . What better way to invest and have fun at the same time! Only going up in value! This is a serious car with lots of money and time invested to get it where it is. Door tag data plate reads” VIN# 7R02A189020 Body 63A Color X Trim 7U Date 02C DSO 75 Axel 1 Trans W This car is a used car with no warranties implied or given being sold as is. Buyer is responsible to have the car picked up. I have the right to close this auction at any time. Happy Bidding!
