This will make a great winter project for next spring. 1965 Austin Healy Sprite was just taken out of the garage after sitting for 12 years. We put in a charged battery and fresh gas and it started right up, It does not smoke and it runs fantastic. The clutch works and the transmission shifts fine and the brakes work. The austin four cylinder twin carb engine looks to be completely original, All of the original Smiths gauges / tachometer / fuel / oil and water are there and seem to work. The seats , door panel's are in great shape , The top and bows are there with the car ,the top does look good except for a small tare at the back corner, All of the glass is there and in good shape. All of the chrome appears to be original and is in good shape. I am selling this for a friend and the only reason he is selling it is because he needs the room and does not have time to drive it anymore. He did drive the car to family gatherings and of course on sunday drives (when the ohio weather would allow him). The paint on the car is not original ,it had some bodywork and a paint job at one time, There has been repair work done in the floor on both sides in front of the seats and behind the rear wheels. but the rest of the floor pan / frame / firewall and trunk pan are in good shape, as you can see in the pictures. This car will make a great project to restore to a collector's piece or it will make a fun adult toy because with the roll bar that it has it looks like a Go Kart on steroids.It will be great for sunday drives which ever you would preferre. We need to move this out of the garage , We need the space for other projects, that is why we have taken the reserve off. It must go!
