You are bidding on a 1962 Bentley S2. I have owned the car since 2005 and planned to use it at a restaurant I owned to drive customers home at the end of their dinner. I sold the restaurant shortly thereafter, and the car ended up in my garage for the past 3 years. I don`t know much about the history of this car. I purchased it from a pilot in the Bay area. Soon after I purchased the car I contacted the Bentley club in England. The only information I could find was that purchased new in Manchester, England, in 1962. The club sent me paperwork that gives pertinent information about the car. While in my possession I had most belts, hoses, thermostat, and air filters replaced. The car starts right up and can be driven anywhere; I recently drove to San Francisco a couple of times, which is a 150 mile drive each way from where I live. I occasionally drive it around town. The engine runs strong and the 4 speed auto transmission shifts the way it should Everything on this car is original, with the correct aluminum alloy doors, trunk lead, and bonnet. The 2 stage paint, sage green/silver, is about 15 years old, and shows really good with no dents anywhere and minimal imperfections. The tires are almost new. All the chromes are in excellent condition, with no bubbling or scratches anywhere. The hubcups have some minor parking scratches All the glass is intact no cracks anywhere The Smith gauges are all in working order. The red leather interior is original and in good condition, with no rips or loose stitches. Headliner and carpet are in good condition. All the interior wood trims, dashboard, and wood trays are in good condition, no cracks or water damage anywhere. The doors panels are like new. The power windows are somewhat slow to go up and down, but function, and never get stuck. The one thing that is not original, is the radio; the original Bentley radio was substituted with a somewhat more modern radio-cassette and amplifier booster. The trunk compartment is clean and complete, with the original tire pump, jack and utility light. The original tool box is there, but most original tools where substituted with non-original ones. The brakes have been inspected by a reputable Bentley/Rolls Royce shop, in Sacramento. Both brake master cylinders where rebuilt, all wheel cylinders and brake boosters where rebuilt or replaced. All brake hoses where replaced, an expensive job, but well worth the money spent. The brakes are working properly now.
