For sale is a complete 1969 912 coupe. This is a running, driving car that needs a total restoration. It is a numbers matching 5 speed with many hard to find parts that are included. The car was sitting for 20 years when I bought it and I've replaced many parts to get in running condition. There is a new gas tank with new sender unit, new Bursch exhaust, rebuilt pedal cluster, new battery and Pertronix ignition. The car starts right up and idles well. There are new RS America style door panels, however I have the original interior handles. The tires are new Vredenstiens with painted steelies and original hubcabs. A spare steel wheel is also included. A period correct Blaupunkt radio works but is missing a knob. The carbs are off of an older 912, because they do not have a split shaft. They do have the rare mesh air cleaners. The distributor is a 009 model and is not original but works fine with the electronic ignitor. All of the syncros work in the original 5 speed transmission, and I have replaced the speedometer drive and cable. There are some electrical gremlins to work out such as the rear passenger turn signal and the clock does not work nor does the blower or wiper motor. The tach and all other gauges work fine. There is a very nice Nardi wood wheel and the original side mirror. The car will need a paint job. The original color was Ossi Blau and the car was repainted (badly) some time in the 80's. The car will also need floors, rockers, and a new front pan. The torsion boxes are fine, however. The car is not safe to drive long distances because the front suspension mounts are completely gone. All glass is there and in good shape. I have a clean title in my name. The car may be picked up in person or shipped.
