Pictured is a original 1966 pontiac gto 2-door hardtop that comes with pontiac historic services paperwork.This gto was built at the freemont,california plant and came with the following colors and options.Someone painted the car red at one time,but the original color was starlight black with a black cordova top and black interior which it still has.The options it was built with are as follows.Am push button radio with power antenna,reverb unit with rear speaker,outside remote mirror,custom seat belts,electric clock,wire wheel discs,custom sport steering wheel,console,power steering,power brakes,red plastic fender liners,soft ray glass all windows,power windows,air conditioning,7.75 x 14 whitewall tires,automatic transmission,389ci 4-bbl engine,and a 308 positraction rear end.The radio,power antenna,reverb unit,wire wheel discs,custom sport steering wheel,and red plastic fender liners are gone.The 308 posi rear end is still in the car and i believe it is the original.I also believe the automatic transmission is original as well.The original engine is gone and was replaced with another pontiac engine code YD.The engine turns over by hand,but i have not tried to start it.This car was last registered in 1985 and has been in a barn ever since.The frame looks very nice and solid with no bad areas and has not been repaired.The floor pans still look decent for their age with some rust here and there,but nowhere near as bad as many that i have seen.The trunk pan also looks decent for its age,but does have some rust issues mainly around the body mount areas.The interior is there,but will need to be replaced.The power antenna and reverb switches and wiring harnesses are still in the car.The hood,roof,rear package shelf,and front and rear window opening areas are solid and not rusted out like many are.The front fenders,right outer rocker panel,doors,and rear 1/4 panels need to be replaced.I have a set of usable doors from a 67 gto that i will include with the sale of the car.This gto is not running and will need a complete restoration.It rolls easily so loading will not be a problem.It will need to be picked up with a flat bed truck or trailer.The buyer is responsible to pick the car up or arrange to have it picked up and paid for in full with cash within fourteen days after the auction ends.There is no title to the car,therefore the buyer will get a bill of sale from me.There are plenty of title companies out there today if you needed one.This car is being sold for parts or restoration only with no warranty or guarantee of any kind.If someone would like to look at the car or have someone inspect it,you are more than welcome too.This gto will be a great car to restore with all the options it was built with and will look sharp with black paint,black vinyl top,black interior,and red plastic fender liners exactly the way it came from the factory.A three hundred dollar non refundable deposit is due within four days after the auction ends by u.s.postal money order.Feel free to ask any questions and please do not bid unless you are positive you are going to follow through with the purchase of this car if you win the auction.These listings cost time and money,thank you.
