2005 Suzuki GZ250

Be sure you check out all of the photos as they are a good description of this moto. The bike has always been garaged and kept clean. However, it is not perfect as it has been ridden as a commuter by my wife and occasionally she would get caught in the rain. The paint is in overall good to very good condition. The chrome is in good condition but does show a little rust in a few small places. I had not noticed any rust until I started looking it over to make sure this write up would be as revealing as possible. The bike runs good but is in need of a new battery which I will furnish and install prior to delivery to the buyer or pickup by the buyer. I will include in the sale new filters (both air and oil) and new spark plugs. You can get it ready for riding next spring. The seats and bags are in really good shape and I will include in this sale the new hard bags which you can see in the pictures. These new hard bags have never been installed and once installed can be wired into your running and stop or signal lights to provide more visibility to traffic (always a good thing). They are keyed to provide security for your possibles (the stuff you take with you in your bags that you might possibly need). Besides they will look great on this little bike. All of the accessories on this bike are from Suzuki except for the bags. There is a picture of the upper right end of the engine guard bars (we used to call these crash bars). I took this pic to show that the bolt there is broken. This happened when I was installing it but the bars are so rigid they won't give even in this condition. If this bike becomes yours you can fix the bolt if you want. Although the tread depth is still good on the tires the front is particular is starting to show some signs of aging. You will want to examine them and use your own judgement as to how soon they will need replacement. I do not trust moto tires showing signs of dry rot. This GZ250 gets great gas mileage, and I mean great. Well over 60 mpg. My wife's place of work is about 17 miles one way and she rode this bike to and from work each day as soon as the spring days were warm enough and till the late fall days got too cold as long as it wasn't raining when she left home. It was so economical and so much fun. When she decided she wanted to trail along with me on longer rides we had to move her up to a little larger bike with more power. This is a wonderful bike for beginners as it is so easy to ride and inexpensive to buy and operate. It is not just a "girl's bike" but is great for both male and female riders who are beginners or even experienced riders commuting relatively short distances to work or school. Any distance in excess of 200 miles would be for a fee of $1.00 per loaded mile. Payment must be made in advance to my leaving here with the moto. I will deliver the bike to you within 7 days of your cleared payment. The actual date of delivery will be at my discretion first and then the buyer's. If the Buy it Now option is not used to purchase the bike I will deliver but the charge would be $1.00 per loaded mile from my house to yours. Local pickup by the buyer is the buyers option.
