Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a 2003 Ford Crown Victoria with the P71 police package. Vehicle has a 5/02 build date. It was ordered by my department new and was outfitted as a response vehicle for our Fire Chief. It has the upgraded detective’s package which has the nicer interior, power windows and power locks. The Chief used it as his primary vehicle until 2007. At that point it became a pool vehicle for various department staff. It has been a great vehicle requiring little more that brakes, tires, and fluid changes. Tires were replaced in 07 and have about 20,000 miles on them, and a new battery in 09. Service records are available to the new owner. It has 2 holes drilled in the trunk lid from antennas, but no other holes in the body. Body has some chips and scratches, but overall in good condition for its age. It has alot of car wash type scratches that would easily buff out. The car was rear ended about 2 years ago and required approximately $4000 worth of professional repair. The repairs were done well, but the trunk lid gaps are a little uneven. The car has no rust. Interior is in very nice shape. There is 1 small hole in the carpet where the center console was. It was used to run wires under the carpet. All emergency lighting and radios have been removed from the vehicle. Mechanically it is in good condition and has been fleet maintained. It has a slight hesitation when returning to idle from 55 mph or above; possibly a lock up converter issue which we were unable to completely diagnose. The serpentine belt squeals under hard acceleration at times, but not consistently. If you are starting it multiple times (like running errands)it does smoke for a second or two when started. Does not do it when cold. Basic stuff you will encounter after 100,000 miles. Car runs and drives very well otherwise. All sales are final. You are bidding to own, not to look and play lets make a deal after the auction ends. We have tried to show the vehicle as it is. We will not end the auction early or offer a buy it now price. We strongly encourage you to view the vehicle before purchasing. A $1000 non refundable deposit is required within 48 hours of auction end. On Oct-25-10 at 14:29:43 PDT, seller added the following information: I can not stress enough to please read the add carefully before bidding. I keep receiving questions about the vehicle and its driveability which are clearly spelled out in the ad. This is not a new car and I can not guarantee it will be flawless transportation forever. This vehicle has never had its transmission rebuilt or any major mechanical work done beyond, brakes, fluid and filter changes. We have presented the vehicle honestly and its condition to the best of our knowledge. All sales are final,"as is, where is".
