Vehicle Detail
Listed is a rare 1972 Riviera GS in beautiful condition. These cars are just awesome and compare to nothing else on the road as far as appearance. This is a true documented #'s correct car,not just GS emblems. The 1972 Riviera GS's had the W in the VIN. It has the original GS engine, the original GS transmission and the original GS posi rear end. This one has the column shift instead of the console. I purchased this car about a year ago with the intentions of keeping it for myself. It took a long time to find a rust free GS because production was only about 2100 or so . This car spent all it's life in Texas and was super clean when I found it. Since picking it up it has been tuned up and has had a super nice base coat clear coat paint job applied. The car is super straight and runs great. The engine compartment is really clean with the correct chrome air cleaner lid. The carburetor has been rebuilt and appears as if it were new. All items under the hood are where the should be, no missing items. The interior is almost perfect. There are no dash cracks. Only a couple of imperfections on or near the piping really not worth mentioning. The headliner is like new as is the rear package tray. It also has the mini console that was ordered for the 8-track tape storage. The carpet looks great and shows little wear. The radio works but not all speakers and did you notice the stock upgraded 8 track player! The trunk has new cardboard inserts and is very clean. The factory jack is there with the instructions still on the underside of the deck lid. The glass is in great condition with only a couple of stone chips. All windows go up and down and new window rubber and door rubber has been installed as well as new trunk weatherstrip. The wheels are really nice with just a trace of corrosion in the lips in certain areas. The chrome on the car is way above average with hardly any pitting present. The stainless is beautiful. Tires have lots of tread. The only negative is a recently discovered exhaust leak but minor. Speaking of leaks, the engine and trans doesn't. As far as documentation, I have the original window sticker, title, dealer invoice, and a thank you letter from the dealer salesperson to the original buyer from Russell Buick in Amarillo Texas. It comes with about all the original paperwork from the dealer. The best documented car I have ever owned. Here is a chance to on a nice lower mileage well documented true 1972 Riviera GS that is the right color combination. Any questions about the car call 216 406-3770. Ask for Brian. Please don't call just to ask reserve. Buyer is responsible for transportation and shipping costs.
