Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE I purchased this W200 Powerwagon from a former business partner who poured thousands into it but never quite finished it. Its an excellent running and driving truck, which has been used on trips, working around the house, etc. I’ve used it for the last year as a weekend truck, and am selling it because I’ve just gotten a new Dodge as a company truck and don’t have room for two.

This started out as a farm truck with a rusty body. My buddy did a full frame off restoration and bought fenders and bed w/tailgate from texas, a cab and doors from Georgia, and a transmission and transfer case from an 18,000 mile truck in Florida. He cleaned and undercoated the frame, rebuilt the rear axle and 4.10 posi, went through the front axle and installed a Mile Marker lockout kit (with updated bearings for longer life). The 318 was rebuilt .030” over with Hypereutectic pistons, rebuilt stock heads, Comp 268H hydraulic cam, Performer aluminum intake, Edelbrock 600cfm electric choke carburetor, MP valve covers, electronic distributor, etc. Exhaust goes through headers into a custom 3” single exhaust which is quiet, not like a flowmaster setup. Its also had every other system gone through – rebuilt alternator, new hoses, hot tanked and checked radiator, new heater core and fan, heater control valve, ammeter replaced with an NOS one, NOS military tach installed on dash, NOS powerwagon emblems, new bearings and seals in transfer case and trans, new clutch, pressure plate, shifter bushings, etc. I have a file almost 2” think with receipts. There’s easily $10,000 invested over the years. Mechanicals have maybe 30k miles on them since rebuild - odometer was replaced so I don't know what the total miles are over the years. The body was painted with PPG products – epoxy primer, filler primer blocked several times and PPG basecoat/clearcoat (color is a 90’s Dodge truck green with red and black powerwagon stripes). The hood is blacked out with a textured semigloss paint like a ’69 roadrunner sixpak hood. Front bumper sports an 80’s heavy duty brushguard. There’s a lot of nice detail work like painted inner fenders, core support and firewall, new windshield, new bushings in the window rollers, sliding rear window replaced with a new one piece glass for security, etc etc. Bed was completely rhino lined. Right now its dusty and needs a good wash and polish, but it’s a sharp truck when its cleaned up. The interior was redone in matching green with professionally painted dash and door panels. Carpet was replaced but the seat is only temporary – its an 80’s Dodge truck bench seat, but I have the original which was going to be recovered. There’s a Pioneer cassette in the dash with two discreetly mounted 3” speakers on the roof and 6x9’s in the back (not mounted). Actually sounds pretty good. Interior was completely painted to match the outside. Now the negatives – all this was done between 5 and 7 years ago, and eventually the owner lost interest. And he drove it daily – rain, snow, winter, etc. It started to get some rust blisters on the bedsides and one door, etc. The paint is starting to lift around the roof drip rail as pictured. It got a couple dents and scratches from daily use also – all pictured below. I have a beautiful texas tailgate which is in primer but not painted, and the cowl panel which also needs painted. There’s even a half gallon of correct paint leftover from the restoration to finish these pieces. The new carpet got a little dirty, and all the jumpseats for the rear aren’t installed yet. The frame has some scale on the sides and there’s a small hole where the rear axle bumper has rusted off the frame (pictured). Speedometer needle fell off but I have another working speedo to install. Truck has dual tanks but only one is installed (have the other, needs a sending unit), fuel gauge is a little erratic but works. I have 2 big Tupperware bins of spare parts and a very nice chrome step bumper from a ’90 Ram that’s included. Tires have decent tread but are starting to age crack. Rims are heavy duty American Racing aluminum. Could use new shocks. The truck starts on the first crank and comes up on fast idle, runs smooth and has plenty of power. Its setup with a reese hitch and electronic brake controller and I regularly tow a 7,000lb car trailer with it and it does great. Unloaded, I can cruise at 70+. Steering is tight but a little floaty on-center, which is typical, but it holds corners well. It doesn’t overheat, kill batteries, and has never left me stranded. The only leak is a slight drip from the power steering line at the box, but I’ve only had to put fluid in it once. Wouldn’t hesitate to drive this anywhere – just came back from a 7 hour trip to Indiana with no issues. 4wd system and lockouts work great – no grinding, whining, etc. Spare parts included: Tailgate, in primer Cowl top panel, in primer Original bench seat, needs recovered. Speedometer, misc dash parts One NOS powerwagon emblem, other is mounted on truck Spare 90 amp alternator Spare transmission and transfer case, crated for storage Chrome step bumper from a 90 Ram truck Rear jump seats and interior panels Misc trim SunvisorsFront gas tank and straps Lots of stuff I’ve probably forgotten about If you’re looking for a great collectible work truck that needs some TLC, this is for you. No reserve, however I do have it for sale locally so its going to sell to somebody!. Its located in New Richmond, Ohio, near Cincinnati and can be viewed by appointment. My number is 513-314-7620. Thanks for looking!
