1968 Triumph Bonneville

Offered here is a 1968 Triumph BonnevilleT-120 with matching numbers(restored several years ago).This is a ground up restoration of a T-120 Bonneville, UK model (not a T-120R,which is a USA model). This is an extremly rare motorcycle(never sold in the USA). The difference between both is the UK model has a 4 gal fuel tank with a parcel grid( 68' was last year for parcel grids).Painted fenders,front wheel stand for tire repairs,front number plate,rear number plate and UK tail light, and longer mufflers.The US model has a 2 1/2 gal fuel tank,stainless fenders, and shorter mufflers and a US tail light and license plate holder.The 1968 Triumph Bonneville was arguably the best looking bike of the 60's,with its "eyebrow" tank badges(last year for that) and scarlet and silver paint,and slotted front nave plate.It was also the best running and stopping bike with first year amal concentric carburators and first year Twin leading shoe front brake.No expense was spared in the restoration of this Triumph The engine was rebuilt by Wes Scott Cycles of Ft. lauderdale Fl. I replaced the original auto advance and contact breaker assembly with a Boyer-Brandson electronic ignition,An N.O.S. wiring harness and the recommended 6 volt coils.The The frame and all painted parts were blasted to bare metal,primed with an epoxy primer and painted with black glazerith urethane paint.The tank and fenders were painted with House Of Colors,scarlet and silver paint.All decals were placed properly on fuel tank,oil tank and side cover,and then clear coated with urethane.All the original hardware was cadmium plated,all chrome was replated.Shocks were replaced with Hagon shocks(they resemble the original girlings)Original Dunlop wheels were rebuilt,and spokes replaced with stainless.Original seat pan was blasted and painted,original foam was used with a new cover.The tach and speedo were rebuilt.This Triumph motorcycle has taken 1st place in several bike shows.This is a magnificent example of a 1968 Triumph Bonneville.
