********NO RESERVE********THIS CAR IS NOT LISTED FOR SALE LOCALLY AND IT WILL BE SOLD TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER******** 1992 TOYOTA CELICA GT 2.2 AUTOMATIC 3 DOOR LIFT BACK 117,500 MILES. THIS CAR WAS PURCHASED BY MY WIFE FROM THE PREVIOUS OWNER 9 YRS. AGO WITH 40,000 MILES ON THE ODOMETER. Let me start by saying that I am an enthusiast that enjoys caring for and maintaining automobiles. I will try to describe this celica as honestly and as best as I can. I encourage third party inspections as well as viewing the car in person to decide if this car is for you. The previous owner stated that synthetic oil was used for all oil changes and we followed that as well from the time of purchase. The engine starts up easily and runs smooth with no unusual noises. The transmission works as it should, and up shifts are firm like they should be when the sport mode is selected. I installed new front rotors and brake pads about 3,000 miles ago. The brakes stop good with no pulsating. I had the car on a lift the other day and noticed that the rear brake pads are getting low and will need to be replaced soon. The air filter, spark plugs, ignition wires, distributor cap and rotor were replaced recently. I use the same mechanic for all my vehicles, and he replaced the timing belt, water pump, and passenger side axle @ around 110,000 miles. The radiator, upper and lower hoses, alternator, belt, and battery were replaced by me in the last year. The A/C was charged in June and blows cold. This is the second time it was needed in a few years so one would assume there may be a small leak in the system. The Goodyear Eagle GT tires have less then 5,000 miles. The car drives real nice with no odd noises, though it is an 18 year old car it feels like some cars do at 5 years. The interior is in great condition, with no tears in the seats or cracks in the dash. The moon roof works as it should, the Pioneer CD player sounds great through the factory original speakers. The power windows, door locks, and cruise control work as they should as well. I think the driver's side electric mirror may need a little help at times when adjusting it. The heat blows hot and all the vent controls work properly. There is an interior trim piece missing from the hatch area. It runs along the top of the glass area. There is also some minor cracking in some of the interior trim pieces by the tail lights in the hatch storage area. The power antenna was damaged because it was left up when then car was sent through a car wash some time ago. I removed the motor and it will stay up with a little tape or similar adhesive at the base. The paint looks great. There are the usual minor dings and chips from use. I point out the flaws in the photos. The car was in two front end collisions under our ownership. The first involved front bumper cover replacement. The second involved hood, bumper cover, passenger fender and replacement of the headlight assemblies. All parts used were from a celica that I purchased for donor parts. The engine leaks oil. My mechanic cleaned the underside and the engine and we determined that the leak is coming from the rear of the cylinder head and the crank seal between the engine and transmission. We figure that the best way to fix would be to remove the engine and reseal accordingly. The power steering pump may be leaking as well. The starting bid reflects the repairs needed. This car is being sold AS IS with NO WARRANTY, NO RESERVE, and WILL BE SOLD to the highest bidder. I will be happy to answer any questions. Good Luck and thanks for viewing my listing. I SEE THAT EXPERIAN AUTOCHECK IS STATING THAT THIS CAR IS A FLOOD SALVAGE TITLE. MY WIFE AND I KNEW NOTHING OF THIS UNTIL NOW. MY WIFE BOUGHT THE CAR WITH A CLEAN TITLE AND IT CURRENTLY HAS A CLEAN TITLE. TO MY BEST KNOWLEDGE THIS CAR APPEARS TO HAVE NEVER SUSTAINED ANY MAJOR WATER DAMAGE. THE PICTURES SHOW THAT THERE IS NO EXCESSIVE CORROSION FOR THE AGE OF THIS VEHICLE. ALL ELECTRONICS WORK AS THEY SHOULD AND ALWAYS HAVE FOR THE LAST 9 YEARS. THE CARPET LOOKS ORIGINAL AND THERE WERE NEVER ANY STRONG ODORS ASSOCIATED WITH SUCH DAMAGE. EBAY RULES STATE THAT I MUST RELIST THIS CAR WITH A SALVAGE TITLE. NOT TO CAUSE ANY CONFUSION BUT AS STATED IN MY DESCRIPTION MY WIFE PURCHASED THE CAR WITH A CLEAN TITLE AND IT CURRENTLY HAS A CLEAN TITLE. THIS TITLE DISCREPANCY DATES BACK TO 1998 AND IT'S POSSIBLE THAT IT MAY BE A MISTAKE, BUT I DOUBT THERE IS ANY WAY TO PROVE OR CORRECT IT. THIS CAR LOOKS, RUNS, AND DRIVES VERY GOOD AND I WOULD LIKE TO ADD THAT IF THE WINNING BIDDER IS NOT HAPPY WITH THE CAR UPON SEEING AND DRIVING IT, I WILL BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO ISSUE A FULL REFUND MINUS THE PAYPAL FEE FOR THE DEPOSIT. I HOPE THIS WILL CLEAR ANY DOUBT BECAUSE OF THE UNFORTUNATE TITLE HISTORY.
