This Beetle is from Pennsylvania. It was owned by my uncle who was the second owner and purchased it in the early 1970's. It ran until the he parked it in his garage when he retired in 1986. It has set since, on blocks, without any maintenance. The piston rings are stuck to the cylinder walls of the engine, and the engine will not turn over. The transmission shifts freely and the clutch operates. The emergency brake operates, and the vehicle rolls freely in neutral. The tires are from 1986. The chrome is in good condition. The suspension appears to be sound. I had planned to restore it. However, although the upper body is quite sound, there is considerable floorboard rust, which discouraged me from wanting to work on it. This vehicle is very complete. It would be a restoration project for someone with the skills to do the floorboard replacement. It would definitely make a good source of parts for restoration or repair of other vehicles. The mileage is 113,663. I re listed it to correct this error. Sorry for the inconvenience to anyone who bid. 1929wallis
