Vehicle Detail
Up for bids; 1969 Ford Mustang Fastback. Great oportunity on a ROCK SOLID car All that is left to do is put it back together because most of the hard welding is done already. This car has great options that are very popular. Read on to see why this is a wonder "find" and you should give it serious consideration. The car is very clean. Clear title. Here is the car by the numbers: 9- 1969 F- Dearborn 02- Mustand Sportsroof 63A H- 351-2V Winsor I Lime Gold 2G- Dark Ivy Gold kiwi Buckets 05B- Feb 5 1969 89 - DO 2- 2.75 rear axle x- FMX Cruise O-matic ROCK SOLID This car has almost all the parts already on the car, or that comes with it to complete the car. Many of the parts are original. 10 years ago the rebuilding process started from the ground up.. The bottom is completely new. Countless hours were spent welding the underside and body. New. Rockers... front and reat frame rails floor pans and seat risers The whole front end is new ( the whole front clip including new shock towers.) All 4 torque boxes The whole trunk area including full drops. Brand new Doors Both new rear quarters.\ I have sandblasted, primered, and reinstalled the original steering system including the front coil springs, wheels and tie rods. I have done the same with the rear suspension and wheels. The car rolls around wonderfully. It can be transported almost anywhere the buyer wants with ease (shipping is the buyer exspense). Some smoothing of a few weld spots will need to be done for the perfect finish. The right rear quarter is welded, the left rear quarter is riveted on and needs to have welding completed. Everything else listed above has been welded and ready to go. The whole front end is new!!!! All the original metal and doors that were taken off will be available to go with the car in case yu want any date stamps or serial numbers. The car's orginal color was painted over a number of years ago with the current forest green. I don't think the current side scoop came on the car originally, but I was going to leave them on, because they look great on the car and you can make a Mach 1 out of it wanted. All the glass is complete. The front glass has a stone chip. The roof is solid and so are the drip rails and cowl. The front fenders were sand blasted and primered in black; They are in good condition and don't need replacing. The front fender and hood were placed on the car just for the pictures, so they will need to be fitted and completely tighted down. I wanted to get a picture with those items on. The front hood seems to be fine and solid. . There are few boxes of parts not yet on the car The car was running 10 years ago when the restoration started. The engine was taken out of the car and the man I bought it from said he was not sure if the engine was the origianl 351W or not out of the car. I have not done anything with the engine or transmission except I painted the outside of the engine. The date codes on the engine seem to match the year of the car, but I don't know enough about engine to be totally sure. I'll research the engine more this week to see if I can find out anymore infor. The engine was well lubed after it was taken out and some oil was inserted every yea over the past 10 years to perserve it. The transmission had a little slip in 2nd gear so that might need attention. I'm not a great expert on engine or transmission date code numbers and what they mean. Email me if you have any questions or want me to look for Ford numbers on the engine or transmisson. We mounted the engine and transmission back in the car for wasy transportation for the new buyer. I've taken a ton of pictures. I can only put 24 pictures on ebay, so you can email me and I'll send you pictures of anything else about the car. This is suck a great car. It's a a stage in it's resoration that the new owner can paint it the original color or any other color they want. I've tried to explain the car as best I could. The pictures should help fill in any questions you may have but fell free to email and ask any serious questions. You are welcome, and encouraged, to see the car in person or have some one look at it for you before the end of bidding. I am also selling another project Mustang that I just can not get to. It's a 1966 True red convertible. Much of that hard metal work is already done too. Email me if you would like me to get you that ebay auction number. Final bids are binding of course. I need a $500 deposit with-in 48 hours of the end of the auction with the balance paid in full with-in seven days after the end of the auction. The car is sold AS-IS Transportation and shipping costs are totally up to the buyer. I will put as many of the loose parts can inside the car for shipping- The buyer will have to communicate with me how they want to ship everything. I can sell to other countries, Please research before the final bidding on the Mustang to make sure how a shipping company wants a car that is not running packed and prepared. This car is rust free It's a great body style, you can paint it your favorite color, The hard part is done. After 10 years and lost interest in the project, it's time for someone else to step in a finish this wonderful peace of history. I have a very reasonable and low reserve and "buy it now price" set. Thanks for looking and bidding
