Studebaker Avanti 1981 No reserve! Bidding on a 1981 Avanti, not an 1980, 1 of 195 built that year. This is a Raymond Loewy Avanti style design which is considered to be one of his greatest works.The car is all fiberglas and has 68623 original miles and is equpped with a Corvette 350 ci engine and a TH 350. The hog troughs have been replaced this year and the car has been repainted as well. It has power steering, original AM/FM Blaupunct radio plus 8 track, power windows, power brakes, power locks and has had a new dual exhaust system installed. All instruments work except the clock (fuse?). The '64 grill is brand new and adds to the appearance of the car. The interior is good except for a small 1/2" tear on the drivers seat back. When I purchased the car several years ago, it came from southern CA. and had passed the enviromental smog tests. Since that time I have maintained the car and left the motor as it came from the US. (other than tune-ups). It comes with an used extra grill and a pair of NOS tail lights. The car is very fast and dependable and runs great. I had purchased the car for my wife, but unfortunately, due to illness, she can no longer drive the car. I'm selling the car for less than what I have in it and I have too many other toys.
