Vehicle Detail

I have had this 1969 Road Runner since 1985. It is a true RM23, with the original 4 speed tranny. I built this to be a play-toy, not a restored show car. The car has a .060 over 440 with a Weiand Tunnel Ram, with two Holleys on top. Honestly I don't remember all the details, but it has a Mopar .509 cam, Direct Connection heads, Hooker headers, narrowed 8 3/4" rear with Strange axles, 4.56 gears, and is tubbed with big Mickey Thompson tires. The tires have been on since 1987, and are WORN OUT! The car has a line lock mounted on the original shifter, just like a 4 speed hot rod should have. There are a couple things that need taken care of. The tranny could use synchros...it pops out of second while slowing down, (although a hand on the shifter stops that), and grinds a bit downshifting into first. The paint is not perfect, having been last painted in 1987. The interior is real nice, tan bench with black carpet. The car has a beautiful wood steering wheel, just because I liked it 23 years ago, and the original wheel has long since disappeared. It has an aftermarket stereo, and a Sun Super Tach on the column. The trunk is finished with red carpet, and has a NEVER USED GOODYEAR RALLYE F70/15 spare tire out od a 1969 HEMI Road Runner. The tire has never been on the ground, and was a take-off when the Hemi car was new. Heck...the spare tire and wheel are probably worth $1000.00 to someone restoring a hemi car, as there can't be many (if ANY) NEW 1969 spare tires left in the world! Anyway, it's there, and I'm leaving it there. All in all, this is a neat street car, runs extremely well, makes all the right sounds with the 20ish year old glass packs on the exhaust, looks like an ex Sox and Martin drag car with the tubbed rear end and big Mickeys, and the tunnel ram sticking out of the hood is the coup de gras. If you are looking for a street driveable, nasty ol' muscle car, here it is. I will accept a $500.00 deposit through PayPal, and the rest must be good old cash, or a bank check. Delivery help is possible, we can discuss that later. I have it advertised locally, so the auction can end at any time. Please check my feedback...I don't sell junk or mis-represent my items. Thanks for looking, and good luck. On Oct-14-10 at 18:35:36 PDT, seller added the following information: I forgot to clarify something. The rear tires are worn out, but the front tires, (Mickey Sportsman Fronts) were new a year ago, and have about 60 miles on them.
